Disciplines have been formally re-assigned for the purpose of evaluating the program.

 

No summer or crossover sports in the 2030 Winter games.

 

No details yet on the 2030 or 2032 sports program beyond that.

Yup... Greco-roman wrestling is on some thin, thin ice as well.

 

I also am thinking that canoe slalom might be in some danger too, they are really hammering home the cost of venues in this press conference.

 

Also looks like the IOC will no longer be doing host sports. Coventry is talking specifically about the IOC regaining control over the program and also shrinking the size of the program.

 Montreal, 1-4 June

 Orlando, 8-11 June

I wonder about that, I feel like China will lobby hard to keep that in. The baffling survival of the mixed team event makes me feel that it somehow has the favours of some folks in the IOC. But from any objective point of view it should be very high on the list of winter disciplines to be in danger.
