by the way, this is a quick recap of the Olympic qualifiers after Today's races...


- men and women's Singles (provisional, B Final still to be completed)
- men and women's Double Sculls (provisional, B Final still to be completed)
- men and women's Pairs (list completed)
- men and women's Fours (list completed)
- men and women's Lightweight Double Sculls (list completed)
- men and women's Quadruple Sculls (list completed)
- men and women's Eights (provisional, all 5 quota places for each gender will be awarded after Tomorrow's A Final)

we lost 1 Gold (M4X) and 1 Silver (M4-) medal from last year in the space of less than half an hour...and earlier we saw the epic fail of our Golden Pair from 2017...

 

we might have got even more Olympic quota than expected, but if it wasn't for the usual suspects (LM2X), we wouldn't get a single medal in the Olympic classes...

 

definitely not a good way to enter the Olympic Games next year...:cry::nopompom:

you see, then, that you have raised a lot of quotas for the Olympics compared to us.

Rowing is one of our traditional sports, we must win medals, not just show up...

The most important thing is winning the Olympic Games, you know if France has chances of winning other quotas for Tokyo?

Yes, before the start of the competition this was considered a safe gold considering that they had been unbeaten the whole season. You have to ask yourself what happened here that they are suddenly beaten by 2 teams. Ireland even beat them comfortably and it is pretty suspicious that, as far as i can tell, the irish team only competed in one world cup. Athletics and cycling get the most heat concerning doping and thankfully it also seems to become a bigger topic in swimming, but there is absolutely no logical reason to think that rowing is any cleaner than those sports. I hope that someone will soon take a close look at the development of the Netherlands, China, Ireland, Poland and New Zealand (at least on the women's side). It makes absolutely no sense that GB, a country that completely dominated this sport just 7 years ago and has a bigger talents pool than for example the Netherlands, Ireland and New Zealand combined and Germany (who always used to be great in rowing too) are suddenly chanceless against a nation like the Netherlands. It is especially worrying because the Netherlands have also completely overtaken track cycling at the same time.

tomorrow, considering the catastrophic weather, we are going to finish last, but what is France afraid to call other boats?

      I can't watch live, I need a true tv broadcast (or ondemand streaming) to watch late in the evening   and since I'm also lazy, I want them on my TV screen lying on the couch, not having to use my pc or mobile phone 😉   however, thanks a lot for the advice 👍

      Pretty bad there's no beach woodball, that would have been the only chance to watch the sport live in over a decade with full graphics and all.   Also Beach Sepaktakraw missing is surprising.   Would have been good to have surfing, beach rugby, beach tennis, one more beach martial art and at least one of jet ski/ water skiing/wakeboard /wakesurf.

      The young Finnish woman showed today that it's possible to beat the former USSR and Turkey in this sport, so why can't we train someone like her? Our all squad isn't making any progress for a lot od time, so how do they train? Massidda is getting weaker ane weaker and Pizzolato won't be back- he faces 10 years for rape. It's a disgrace.

      If you have a VPN, theTRT broadcasts it, but Italy is so weak in this sport that there's no point in even watching it. Ukraine, Poland and Turkey are light years ahead of us and the best Russians aren't here  Without mass naturalization we can give up for this sport.
