That was very very smart from Jessie Dee to skip the Skiathlon. But, seriously what an incredible effort she just produced. Bravo Jessie :yes

Believe it or not, this will be only third race (out of 14), with no medal for Norway (after ladies CC Sprint and Men's SJ Normal Hill).

4,5km and still going excellent for both Jaque and Bruna!

Hoping right now Bruna is still sticking to the plan of keeping things under control, even though she might feel like she could go faster.

That’s why the season lasts as long as it does. Diggens wasn’t doing anything much back in December, then blew up in the Tour de Ski.  Yet here she is.

And well done :ITA Franchi: long time since we saw an Italian lady on the front page.

76th out of 80, that's four positions better than expected, and an awesome finish with all the emotions of an awesome world championships coming out :d:cheer:

Going home tomorrow, but what an amazing week this has been!

FIS seedings worked out to produce great focus for @brunamoura!  Hopefully, some attention in :BRA also.

The Brazilian federation asked for a short statement from her about Sunday's team sprint, we kind of had to remind them that she nearly died a year ago, because no word about a comeback or anything was mentioned in any article or something from them...so at least now it's mentioned in their team sprint article (because we reminded them about it) :p

I think they are rather underestimating the whole thing :d

:BRA Jaque Mourao finished just behind  :POL Skinder and Kaleta which tells you more about the state of Polish cross country than anything else.

30th place for :ITA Federica Sanfilippo :coffee:

    • Despite total domination by the Norwegian men (and yes, it's exhausting and boring), the accomplishments this weekend of Emil Iversen and Einar Hedegart are worth highlighting, despite them being Norwegian.    Iversen was dropped by the Norwegian national team after the opener in Beitostølen 2 weeks ago and was not taken to Ruka. Instead, he won both the 10k and 20k Interval Classic starts in Gålå in the Norwegian Cup last week, which granted him a spot on the start line in Trondheim. He took full advantage of that opportunity and finished on the podium in the skiathlon, and finished just off the podium in today's 10k Interval Freestyle. This definitely puts his name in serious contention for a spot on the Olympic team, which looked incredibly doubtful just a few days ago.    Einar Hedegart, the 24-year-old biathlete who decided to challenge the stereotype that biathletes are inferior skiers to their cross-country counterparts, just won the 10k Interval Start against all of Norway's best in a de facto Olympic trial.    Yes, it's exhausting seeing nothing but Norwegian flags on the men's side, but there can be excitement just beneath the surface at times.
