Swimming at the Aquatics FINA World Championships 2019

Recommended Posts

WTF Arjan Knipping, 2nd place in the 400m IM and destroyed Marcel Wouda's 22 year old NR (which he tied in April already) :hyper:

Also, triple reigning European champion David Verraszto and reigning champion Chase Kalisz are out :yikes:

Apparently 22-year old non-Korean swimmer has been arrested for sexually harrasing 18-year old Korean.

No identification has been given, but apparently the said swimmer is a bronze medalist from Rio 2016.

I know assumptions are the mother of all fuck-ups, but let's just assume it's a male:

Nathan Adrian - 30
Conor Dwyer - 30
Gabriele Detti - 24
David Plummer - 33
Evgeny Rylov - 22
Cody Miller - 27
Anton Chupkov - 22
Tamas Kenderesi - 22

Wang Shun - 25
Daiya Seto - 25
James Roberts - 28
Kyle Chalmers - 21
James Magnussen - 28
Cameron McEvoy - 25
Matthew Abood - 33
Kosuke Hagino - 24
Naito Ehara - 25
Yuki Kobori - 25
Takeshi Matsuda - 35
Mitch Larkin - 26
Jake Packard - 25
David Morgan - 25

Several bronze medalists from Rio were not in Gwangju, but the three 22-year olds were. I'm guessing it's a conspiracy from The West

well Čupka (in english litteration - Chupka) means whore in czech/slovak so with one closed eye - chupkov can be translated as "for whores" :p

Dávid usually fails only at the Olympics, now it happened to him at the WC too... I don't know what's up with this guy.

This list includes relays, yes. For sake of completeness: Kennedy Goss of Canada and Mie Nielsen of Denmark were the only women's bronze medalists who are 22 now.

No men's relay bronze medallist from Rio is currently 22.

But if we include women there are also Mie Nielsen and Kennedy Goss.

And Goss wasn't in Gwangju, at least not as participant.
