Do I understand correctly Nigeria will have two female flag bearers ? thats a new ! Bach will be hyper happy

World and Commonwealth wrestling medalist Odunayo Adekuoroye was chosen as the flag bearer while she will be assisted by African record holder in the long jump Ese Brume

Yeah the sentences are vague, but other articles mentioned Ese Brume is for the closing

The article from Nigeria Guardian is even more confusing, talking about "2018 Olympics in Russia".

One thing to be sure is that Odunayo Adekuoroye will carry the flag

They will probably announce today that 2 time gold/5 time medalist Maria Grozdeva will be our flag bearer. This will be her second time, as she also was in Athens 2004.

With our tragically minimalistic team, and having the wrestlers arrive after the Games have started, there was really no other options imo.

And probably Antony Ivanov... It would be a symbol of transition between past and future :mumble:

Does anyone know what the parade of nations will look like? I mean will it just be the flag bearers alone for each nation?

According to the latest news, there will be athletes but the guys in charge are still talking about how they will limit it.
