Men's Football FIFA World Cup 2022

Now :POL has a good reason to win the match against :ARG

Finishing in the first position and face :AUS at Round of 16 would be a chance to reach quaterfinals

Denmark is nothing special for a while. They got the feel good boost after the Eriksen cardiac arrest @ Euro but it's only a storyline and not much else.

Seriously? Losing the Euro semi final after a BS penalty, even after the near death of the captain,  dominating the qualification for the Worlds, beating France twice in the Nations league...

This was the strongest Danish team in a damn long time just until this Championship, not necessarily the players considering the playing time in their teams, but the collective has been terrific all the time since the Euro.

What about the misery of the next group:

Argentina :has qualified from this system 5 teams/10

Mexico :got the benefit of dividing the American contient (they played vs Haiti)

Poland qualified instead Russia

only KSA looks normal in this group of scam

Denmark is possibly the biggest dissapointment of the tournament.

They are a disappointment but I'm not disappointed that we took advantage.

Some FIFA news, apparently they want to introduce penalty kicks in group stage for 2026 WC which would earn extra point. That's a way to solve the three-team group dilemma that could see all matches ending in a draw.

I still think the system 16 groups x 3 teams is stupid. It would be better to have 12 groups with 4 teams but what do we know...

That would be awful. Penalties for anything but straight knock-out games should stay far away from football..(or any sort of sport)

No, they are 100% playing for a draw. They probably bet that :KSA will not beat :MEX so a draw would be enough for 1st.

Mexico did play Haiti, but one can imagine the CONCACAF Gold Cup match in which they played did not play a major role in them qualifying for the World Cup.

KSA played against Vietnam.

I have to disagree here, this was the best thing that could have happened to hockey. Every match now counts.

People who keep forgetting who our coach is. We will park two buses or have 8 people run around Messi. Obviously we will play for a 0-0 draw as best case scenario

:POL squad. One change from the Saudi Arabia match, Świderski replaces Milik as the second striker.

Imo, :KSA will beat :MEX, so for no risk to advance in second, or even be eliminated, I wouldn't play for a draw.

But it is :POL, and they will probably play for a draw

    • Honestly, I think you guys have a much better chance of success here than we do. It's already difficult to maintain this sport, and with this ridiculous format this year, things have gotten even worse. Years and years participating in the elite and we haven't been able to evolve; it was just a waste.
