I'm in tears, finally I have access after months. For some reason I can only enter the site from my phone. Surely it must be a problem with my home internet connection.

Really? What was the issue you were facing when trying to access the website? It's very weird, please give me some information so I can investigate if it's an issue of the website.

Only thing I could think of would be some kind of DNS lookup error at the :ARG end.  Have seen it before, but usually corrects itself within a day at most.

But that wouldn't explain one Argentinian user being unable to connect, while another had no issue (@konig), would it? Unless the latter might have been using a VPN maybe?

Maybe you need to clear the cookies and cache on your desktop browser. I think i also had some trouble accessing the site a few years back on my laptop, but when i cleared the data everything was fine.

Each provider can have different DNS settings.  Can also configure a choice of DNS servers at PC level - been a long time since I've had to think about this!

I also experienced the same issues with other websites in the past 2 years (one was non the less than mlb.tv, which I could reach only behind an Italian vpn for months 2 years ago)

it came out that here it was connected to the fucking anti-piracy shield of the Italian government (despite I'm not using any pirate website, only free or paid official ones), with some providers having a lot of their subnet addresses completely blocked because of one signaled violation within their CDN

however, I don't think it's the same kind of issue in :ARG of course

the only advice I can give, it's to try and connect under a vpn (even of your own Country, but still under a vpn)

normally this overcomes all kinds of blocks at any level, intentional or unintentional

and if a home broadband connection doesn't work, always try the data connection of your smartphone (if you have one) before starting to seriously worry

Yes, smartphone data is the only way for me. I have tried with different devices which have different browsers and at a different homes with different internet providers and nothing seemed to work for me. The website rejected connection every time.

Overall, there's a lot to do, for example, compared to Budapest, but unfortunately, this is Italy How many years has Roma been building their new stadium, and they keep pushing back the completion date- now I read it's 2030? and it should be ready. The same goes for Milan- there should be a modern complex of indoor swimming pools with 50 meters pools, etc., but there's a problem with one stupid football stadium, which will only be built after an ultimatum from UEFA

    • impossible, there are not enough venues in both towns and I mean, Milan doesn't have an Olympic Stadium, a decent Tennis Complex and a big Swimming Complex (not to mention the sea) Rome, on the other hand, doesn't have a Rowing/Canoeing Basin nor arenas and stadiums for the team sports beyond football and rugby there's no chance that all those venues would be built from scratch, meanwhile if we use both cities we already have almost everything we need, especially the most expensive and controversial sites

She wasn’t a top-tier athlete in that program anymore. She was at the end of her career. I would personally would rather race against Katie. She’s not as competitive as the other athletes,” he said. “It’s probably really unfair to say and not really where I want to go with this but that’s where we are with that.”   Uhlaender: “If I were Canada, I would be concerned in how this coach is representing the Olympic values for his country,” Uhlaender told Fox News Digital. “He hurt a whole field of athletes, all with dreams, and this sends the message that they don’t matter unless they are number one. All athletes matter, and we all deserve to compete fairly, with integrity, and respect. He did not respect anyone in that field. “This is not about my resume or how good the athletes were in the race. This is about the fact that he intentionally manipulated the competition to hurt myself and 13 other countries because he felt it necessary to eliminate all possibility. That is against the spirit of sport and not what the Olympic movement represents.”   Isn't it great when other people's dirty laundry is aired?  /sarcasm     (I was a little surprised to see NPR pick this up, but per this article, Uhlaender preemptively recorded the phone call after receiving a text from Cecchini that said he had 'bad news' for her.)
