Does anyone know where I can find the Marc Holder Trophy standing for the Junior Nordic Skiing World Championships?

@heywoodu @hckosice @dcro @Dragon I’m interested to hear your opinions on the qualification methods and events for the YOG? I feel like this format is way, way better (besides ice hockey ) than the Summer YOG

The only thing I know about the qualification is that for both Brazil and Australia a biathlete at this year's world junior championships is going to try and qualify a spot for someone else :p

Ok, so If I’ve read the qualification documents properly, and if the FIS or national federations do some weird crap. The following countries should be guaranteed the following quotas:

Cross Country (Each country below receives 3 male and 3 female quotas, based on the Marc Hodler Trophy or as Host):

:SUI:AUT:CZE:FIN:FRA:GER:ITA:NOR:POL:RUS:USA

Ski Jumping (Each country below receives 2 male and 2 female quotas, based on the Marc Hodler Trophy or as Host):

:SUI:AUT:FRA:GER:ITA:JPN:KAZ:NOR:POL:RUS:SLO

Nordic Combined (Each country below receives 2 male and 2 female quotas, based on the Marc Hodler Trophy or as Host):

:SUI:AUT:FIN:FRA:GER:ITA:JPN:NOR:RUS:SLO:USA

The rest of the quotas in these disciplines will be filled by the YOG Quota List/Ranking to be posted on December 9, 2019.

From what I can tell the following nations should a awarded quotas (1 Male and 1 Female) in Ski Mountaineering based on their overall cadet rankings in continental Championships in 2018.

:AUT:CAN:CHN:FRA:IRI:ITA:ESP:SUI:USA (the US has already announced it will turn down the quotas (not offical yet though))

The rest of the Ski Mountaineering quotas will be distributed at the 2019 World Championships.

    • No     He was the only one actively approaching athletes to talk about why he wanted to be in the commission, or at least the only one she noticed doing so.
    • Did she only vote for Won to give you the chance to write that?
    • Hmm, a lot leave, yes, but also a lot push towards the area where the podium is. Like in Tesero it was insane how tighly-packed the left part of the grandstands became, same for Antholz (although that was already insane during the races).   But for me, the main thing is not so much for the fans, but for the athletes: it's awesome to have the medals awarded when the emotions are still all the way there. Don't give it hours (or sometimes even a whole day) to let things settle down, let a surprise winner step on the podium with the disbelief still being there fully and so on.
    • and  destroyed   that was quite unexpected after the group stage games
    • Now the announcement for the athletes commission. Bruna voted for Won (and the Hungarian cross-country skier Adam Konya).   Won won!
    • But let's be honest. At least half leaves the venue before. Also have to say that the podiums were placed in a way that certainly were for the VIP's. Honestly felt rather off to be on the main stand at Antholz and seing them from the side and in Tesero it felt miles away. Personally I don't mind a medal plaza. But there's no doubt that it isn't ideal with the games spread out as much which it will afterall also be in 2030
    • Nice to see Norway still managed to score something at the very end
    • I can't appreciate watching  matchs of  a-sock-er never   Why did you put in my head this ugly word , i will nightmarite tonight
    • my 2 cents (just to play...dreaming is free for all )      Alpine skiing (8) - get rid of the mixed team combined   Biathlon (9) - get rid of the pursuit (unfair to base it on a previous sprint result) - instead have qualifying rounds for the Mass Start races (which should be open to all the athletes competing, still with the 4-per-nation limit, of course)   Bobsleigh (2) - women's monobob and men's 2-man bob away - maximum of 2 sleds per NOC - all bobsleds must be the same for every team, managed only by the International Federation (like the boats in Sailing at the Summer Games)   Cross-country skiing (10) - reinstate the old women's distance races (10/15/30km), as the 50km still doesn't have enough good competitors - 30/50km in interval starts - team sprint away - Individual sprint must be a real sprint: 1000m, no up- and downhills, just a flat course and always in freestyle (if it's a sprint, it must be the quickest possible, technique included)   Curling (3) - no major changes, just add a couple of teams to the mixed event   Figure skating (3) - team event and ice dance away (Gala, too)   Freestyle skiing (10) - remove aerials completely and dual moguls   Ice hockey (2) - no changes   Luge (4) - team event away; 2 sleds per NOC (and at least 20 pairs) in women's doubles   Nordic combined (0) - away   Short-track speed skating (9) - no changes on the program; hopefully, many changes in the races' judgment   Skeleton (2) - team event away   Ski jumping (4) - Large Hill only, Individual and "super team" events for men and women   Ski mountaineering (5) - 2x vertical race, 2x individual, 1x mixed team relay (2 men and 2 women per team) - remove that farce named sprint races   Snowboarding (12) - Snowboardcross team event away - add PSL men and women   Speed skating (12-14) - make the team pursuit longer and with 4 riders per team (at least 4, maybe even 5km) - get rid of the mass start races as they are now; possibly add true Marathon races (60km women, 80km men minimum) with no loughable intermediate sprints     New sports:   Alpine (formerly Natural Track) Luge (3) - men and women's singles, open doubles   Ski Orienteering (5) - 2x sprint, 2x long distance, 1x mixed team     TOTAL: 101-103
