The 1st roof will be added - maybe - for an eventual Paris 2024

Then you can play 7-8 matches, 10 if you're lucky, during the entire day  

 

Really, that's not going to help in any significant way considering there are full tournaments in men's singles, men's doubles, women's singles, women's doubles, mixed doubles, boys doubles, boys singles, girls doubles, girls singles, wheelchair men's singles, wheelchair men's doubles, wheelchair women's singles, wheelchair women's doubles

I hope they postpone it even longer, there's no reason to add it. Just like at Wimbledon, all it does 95% of the time is making sure we can see a crappy match between a top-5 player and someone who has no chance against him/her. It would only help when we've reached the finals, but yesterday and today it wouldn't have made any serious difference.

Well, i read some articles on that. The RG organizator want roofs but they haven't money and CNOFS actually won't give founds for that.

The RG and ATP/WTA Rome are the last big tournament in Europe whitout roofs (but for Rome 2024 the CONI will build a roof on the central court p)

Roof and lights are definitely needed. They won't change location, they don't have enough space - so the only logical move will be to have more time for the matches and kill that lame Sunday start. Roof over PC and SL is a MUST!

I like tradition and stuff, but come on, Roland Garros became worst slam by far in terms of conditions and facilities. And complete organization and scheduling over the last decade is just stupid. 

Wimbledon and Aussie Open are definitely best organized slams.

Agreed about the lights so they can keep playing for longer 

 

If they have it around enough courts, it'll actually make a significant difference, unlike one or two roofs.

They don't have enough space I think. They will rebuild and build few courts most likely in "new Roland Garros era". We'll see if it suffice. 

There were and are a lot of controversies on that matter between FFT, Paris City Council and Ministry of Ecology...
