I would like to congratulate with you as you appear to have endless resources for always being up to date with athletics:champion::bowdown:

Thanks! :d I wouldn't say I have "endless resources". I just love watching and following athletics.  :)

My go-to site is watchathletics: https://www.watchathletics.com/schedule/cat/latest-results/. They usually have links to many athletics meetings/events during the year. Then I also check European Athletics' calender to see which meetings there are the upcoming week: https://www.european-athletics.org/calendar/index.html#date=20190716&view=month&comp=

I often check IAAF's season top lists for new Olympic standards once or twice a day, just to stay a little updated.

Did Nelly Jepkosgei (2008 Olympic silver medalist) switch countries to Bahrain? Or is the diamond league and IAAF incorrect?

You'd think there would be more news of such an event

I think you confused Nelly Jepkosgei with Janeth Jepkosgei.

Apparently Dutch 400m runner (important part of the relay) Madiea Ghafoor has been arrested in Germany a few days ago and is still in a cell there :yikes:

The whole thing is rather unclear, but rumours have it it has something to do with the smuggle of 2kg cocaine, 6kg amphetamines and 10.000 XTC pills. Not sure if the two things are connected, but that's what the rumours say.

    • c'mon! stop those idiots! they're trying hard to ruin athletics in almost every aspect (road running, field events, the same cross country that has already been killed in practice)   please, someone shoot to death Coe and his accolades as soon as possible!!!
    • That's only if they don't listen to Trump's 48 hour deadline. But that is permanently 48 hours away, since, well, TACO.
    • I agree NO to Poomsae!!!   I think they plan to introduce 6 weight classes after LA instead of 8 right now, and those 6 should become Olympic instead of current 4 weights. Going forward world and Olympic ranking could be identical.    But it’s not clear if that means more quotas. Having 6 classes with 64 athletes per gender would be a joke. A reasonable taekwondo competition needs at least 16 athletes per weightclass. But I am not sure taekwondo can get another 64 quotas in total, I doubt it.    beside that I am not happy with the newly proposed weight classes, they give much more focus on light weight athletes, which will be an advantage for Asian countries mainly.    if the proposal is accepted the new weightclasses will be:    Female: 46kg, 51kg, 57kg, 63kg,70kg and +70kg    Male: 54kg, 60kg, 67kg,74kg, 82kg, +82kg
