I would like to reserve a post saying "IAAF wins new court case, Semenya forced to take medication again" and also a post following that a bit later, saying "Semenya hits back in *insert another court* and is cleared to run again".

.

2:00.58 for the young Gajanová in W 800m, very nice and unexpected. :)

she is world ranked 124 before this race , could qualify to tokyo with much participating

The standard is 1 second faster, I am afraid this may be too much for her, but ok, she is still very young, and has showed there a potential for improvement. maybe Paris 2024 ?

It would be nice to have a successor of Lucia Klocová  one day :)

She was worth 2.05+ before last year, the gap seems legit

She is young and talented, definitely one of our most promising athletes right now. her previous pb from last year was 2:01.90.

Fun fact is that right now she is leading the European tables with this time this year ! 10th fastest time in the world this year for now.

Maybe there a chance for a medal at the U23 Europeans this year in Sweden

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
