But then again, San Marino is pretty liberal with guns and they get the best results per capita. :p

well, that's obvious...

but to answer those who say that a restrictive law would kill the sport, I just reported that there are examples showing the opposite, like Italy...

the shooting sport is not related at all with having tons of guns and pistols at home...

No one mentioned it, but 2 days ago the Chateauroux shooting range hosted the first Paris 2024 real Test event. And it was our IOC member Danka Barteková who won the so-called Grand Prix de France in W Skeet under a crazy downpour. the witnesses present said that it was litarally raining cats and dogs..

but Danka said the venue is probably one of the best shooting venues she attended, perfectly prepared and everything was just as it should have been. So yeah, she is an IOC member so hardly can say other things, but again, also an athlete so she knows what athletes needs

Is there any website when you have shooting rankings from 2023 season - but the one with athletes sorted by results from the qualification rounds ??? Archery site like that would be cool as well. That kind of data would  be very helpful for our Paris predictions

sb here found a speed skating site like that so I don’t lose hope heh

Rankings by qualis results would be better then the ones sorted by final results because there is this mess with athletes dropping by after some rounds in the final …

Or  u can rank by avg score per shot for qualification and final separate.
like 630/60=10.5 avg qualification score

    • Also it being illegal in France means the IOC will have to test everyone pre arriving at 2030 and can’t wait till they arrive at the Games to do so. I’m sure at 2028 for some sports testing will happen on site if it’s not a rule of its governing body for non Olympic events. So far only a few sports like Athletics and Boxing have that rule - I suspect others will adopt it but others might take time.
    • https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/articles/cpwj78lxypro ‘In France - one of a number of countries where genetic testing is illegal without a medical prescription due to privacy laws - the government has condemned the decision as "a step backwards". "It defines the female sex without taking into account the biological specificities of intersex individuals, whose sexual characteristics present natural variations, leading to a reductive and potentially stigmatising approach," claimed French Sports Minister Marina Ferrari.”   ‘A group of legal experts in human rights and sports have since expressed, external"urgent concern" about what they called "the regressive move toward genetic testing as a precondition of participation in women's sport" which they say "violate domestic and international laws that protect human rights and regulate the use of genetic testing and genetic information".  The group has called on athletes "to challenge the national or regional implementation of mandatory genetic sex testing, demanded by the IOC or international federations, before domestic courts, by invoking national or regional laws protecting human rights, prohibiting anti-discrimination, and regulating the use of genetic testing and genetic data".’   Domestic laws are more challenging for the IOC to deal with than CAS. Things could get complicated for a bit.
    • Except NOC’s and governing bodies have to still follow local laws. Particularly for Under 18’s there could certainly be domestic legal issues regarding associations paying for travel to other counties to circumvent a domestic ban. Child protection services don’t always act reasonable to attempts to break a domestic law.
