Yeah, that's why women's football doesn't really move the needle that much. The performance gap is simply too big to call it competitive. Ireland hit 11 past Georgia which seems merciful.

Poland lost to Belgium 0-4, we got lucky in some previous games incuding draws vs Norway and Belgium at home but this time we got pantsed.

It's also the biggest victory in history of european world cup qualifiers. Belgium's 19-0 win over Armenia on Thursday, didn't last long.

Btw., Spain trashed Scotland 8-0. It seems like Spain is set to become the next best force in women's football, they already played the best game vs USA at the last World Cup and were very unfortunate to lose that one but it could be a different story in the next few years. I won't be surprised if they win the Euros outright.

Italy won 1-0 in Switzerland and now they have their own destiny in their hands...

unless they suicide themselves (like the men) in the last couple of matches against weaker teams, a place in the next world cup has been booked tonight...

England score their 64th goal without conceding in the qualifiers

As now we come across the world
To share these Games of old
Let all the flags of every land
In brotherhood unfold

"only" 46.15 for him (still, it's his PB)   among all the other (pretty ordinary) results, in the women's Triple Jump, 18-year young Erika Saraceni (world junior bronze medallist in 2024) beat all the more experienced rivals and set a new U-20 National Record with 13.71m (improving her PB by around 20cms)
