European Champs, both Men’s & Women’s starting in Lillehammer on Saturday. Lots of matches available on streaming, more than ever before probably.  Here’s the schedule.

Streaming won’t be on YouTube, though - World Curling has a new channel.  It’s not a free service, but it’s based on paying microcredits per game.  Also lots of games on ES as usual.

Not so much as far i can see. They start first on 3rd day on Monday and for several day only one game per day.

The recast is pretty weird, but okay. You get 100 credits for registration and one curling game cost 50cr, but you can "watch advertisement" for another credits. 2 minutes ad = another 50cr. Or just buy for real money.

Weird, I thought micro-transactions are just computer/mobile/video games thing, not sport streaming.

Meh, they (the Canadian curling teams) were terrible in Korea. :dunno:

Turkey defeated Denmark at the ECh :yikes:The Turkish team have now 2 victory.

They play very interesting curling with very difficult big shots (as in snooker) which they succeed and easy mistakes.

Good to watch them.

Very sad news, but Turkey just destroyed the Italian team. To be fair, Italy was terrible. 7-2 and 5 end still to play.

It was really great shot with 5 points. i watched it and it was similar of some Edin's shot. But there sth happened. I do not know what, maybe some touch of Turkish girl, but i did not notice it.

But Italian girls claimed sth and more than 5 minutes did not play due to it. Do you have some information what happened there?

I am little bit disappointed of lack of interest for this championship. The arena Is nearly empty for each session (i can not compare with previous championship, because it is first ECH which i attented).

One "funny" moment. Organizators asked some school (students) to go there. It was really boring for them and so they made paper plane and it was landed on ice at moment when curlers was curling one stone. Finally they agreed to repeat this stone.

Sadly no, i don't read nothing about that and sadly the Italian matches are not part of the world curling coverage :(

I'm follow this champions with curlit stone-by-stone and, to be fair, I'm really disappointing by this TV coverage.

    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
