Taftian :( even though even his PB wasn't good enough for a medal.

and today is the first day without a gold medal for Iran. :( while we could have two. Mehdizadeh in Karate and the 3x3 basketball team. we ended up with 3 silver and 3 bronze.

and looks like I was wrong about the volleyball draw. I said that based on the pre tournament schedule !

but the website shows KOR vs INA and JPN vs QAT ! and we don't know which one will play Iran in the semifinal !? even our coach doesn't know ! Kolakovic said we will know that when they give us the program ! as simple as that :d

and TPE is luckily in the semifinal.

No gold for Tajikistan or Nazarov!

Why or? Is it possible that Nazarov wins gold, but Tajikistan not. :p

    • Weightlifting formula is more or less similar to 2020 which was considered terrible by everybody!    this is a tough sport, you can't be in your best shape for too many events. there will be risks of serious injuries this way. with these rules you need 5 good results to qualify. if you bomb out in an event to score a zero you are out of the Olympics unless you replace it with another event. which means most of these poor guys have to participate in 7-8 events (and not just 5) to make up for possible bomb outs.    most importantly if you get injured anytime during this period (almost 2 years) you are out of the Olympics! that's how Sohrab Moradi missed the Tokyo Olympics despite breaking the WR during the qualification period. you can miss the Olympics in 2028 if you get injured late 2026 !  Karlos Nasar couldn't win the Olympic title if we had these rules in 2024   I understand 2024 qualification formula wasn't great either, it had its own flaws but this one is much worse for threatening athletes' health.

    • Off to Milan for the 145th session of the International Olympic Committee. Although the agenda has not been published yet, there shouldn’t be any major items over these two days, apart from the election of a member of the IOC Executive Board. This will be the eighth time the session is held in Italy, the last one being during the Turin 2006 Olympic Games.
