Well, sparse crowds are still better than no crowds, which is probably what you will see in Budapest next year at the qual sessions.  (Seriously, athletics isn't a Hungarian sport at all, I am not sure how we will fill those 40.000 seats at the 2023 WCh.)

tbh, Munich's stadium is a 63,000 seater, Birmingham's was...how much, 12/15,000?

 

it looks that right now there are more than 10,000 people in the stands also in Munich...

 

p.s. love the family name of this Dutch guy...Van Gool!

if you like the empty stands, look at the swimming heats in Rome...there are no more than a few hundred people...
