Plenty.

Basically Every qualified athlete in Canoe Slalom is eligible to enter the TT (preliminary round) of the Extreme Kayak. Every NOC can field 2 athletes to the start (so both qualified C1 & K1 athlete per gender). The format is still not official, but it should be like at the EG, with best 16 from the TT advancing to the main race (however, there still a possibility to have one more round (Heats) so even 32 paddlers can progress from the qualifiers) - from then it is classical 4 paddlers heat with top 2 (correctly passing the track) advancing to next rounds etc...

Raises an interesting quandry for GBR. Do they take both Mallory and Wood, even if, say, Mallory is the better bet in both K1 and C1, on the basis that doing so gets them two entrants into the KX1?

Even if they pick only 1 paddler (Mallory for instance) for both K1 & C1, they can send also Woods to Paris to compete in the Extreme Kayak, That is the advantage of having both available female quotas

No, they’d lose the second quota if they only start Mallory.

B.2.3 “…The athlete must compete in the event that the NOC received their qualification quota.

If Great Britain has a separate athlete quota for the WK1, then they need to enter a different athlete (from the WC1 entry) for both to be eligible for WX1.

At least that’s my interpretation.
