Athletics Qualification to Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024

Big controversy in :GBR as 400m Hurdler Alastair Chalmers gets DQed for a false start in the final, runs under protest and.....hits the Olympic Standard with 48.53!    Latest is that the Meet Jury have reinstated him, so his time stands and he'll go to Paris.

Pretty amazing when you consider that the old record belonged to Armin Hary who set a then world record of 10:00 as far back as 1960!

At Moldova's nationals no one achieved minima because was a mix of athletes (U18, U20, Seniors). From big names was Adrian, Alexandra and Dimitriana.

What about Okoye in Discus?
is he in?

Okoye has the 'B' standard (A UKA only idea), and is likely, I think, to have a Road to Paris qualifying rankng. He also had a medical exemption - given his shakey form, possibly the wisest exemption in his career! I think he'll sneak through, just.

No, Hary's time did not count as NR, because it was hand stopped. The old NR was 10,01 by Julian Reus.
