Bob and Mike Bryan will retire after US Open 2020.

https://www.atptour.com/en/news/bryan-brothers-retirement-announcement-2019

The Bryan brothers have captured an Open Era record 118 trophies in 25-season careers, including all four Grand Slams, all nine ATP Masters 1000s, Nitto ATP Finals (four titles) and Olympic gold medal. They also own the all-time team record for Grand Slam titles (16) and ATP Masters 1000 crowns (39).

:USA Caroline Dolehide and :ARG Nadia Podoroska will qualify for the women's singles if they are in the top 300 on June 8th, 2020 and there aren't four athletes from :USA or :ARG already qualified.

Dolehide will not be selected since there are 29(!) American women ranked ahead of her. Podoroska is the second ranked Argentinian women and will qualify as long as she maintains a top 300 ranking (she is currently 288th).

Unfortunately :PAR Veronica Cepede-Royg may now only qualify by ranking. She is currently 153rd and probably needs to climb around 80th to qualify.

Isn't it still very likely that :PAR Cepede-Royg will qualify via a continental qualification place/quota?

According to the qualification document about reallocations:

2. Continental Qualification places: - Pan American Games, Asian Games or African Games place(s) – reallocated to the next highest placed athlete in the respective tournament (e.g. Asian Games Silver Medallist) who must have a minimum ranking of 300 in the Singles Rankings of 8 June 2020. Should the next athlete be equalplaced with another (e.g. two losing semi-finalists), reallocation will go to the athlete ranked highest on the Singles Rankings of 8 June 2020. If there are no athletes with a minimum ranking of 300, the place will be reallocated to the next highest ranked athlete on the Singles Rankings of 8 June 2020 notwithstanding the continent from which such athlete comes, respecting the maximum number of quota places per NOC.

:USA Dolheide will not qualify, as you have described above, so :USA will not use it's quota here. Let's say :ARG Podoroska stays in top 300 and takes one of the quota places, then it would be a battle between :PAR Cepede-Royg  and :BRA Alves about the second quota place. :PAR Cepede-Royg is currently ranked 153rd and :BRA Alves is currently ranked 334th, so it looks like :PAR will get the second continental quota.

Of course I could have misunderstood this paragraph.

That's Feliciano Lopez, right? He must be the one Spaniard who was doing good on grass over the years? :p

Yep. :)

Well Nadal has won Wimbledon twice, so he is probably the best Spaniard on grass.

I just hope Tauson is going to more successful than Kristian Pless. (Probably the best male junior player in Danish tennis history).

An organised crime group involved in manipulating professional tennis competitions was dismantled in an operation led by the Spanish Civil Guard and coordinated by the National High Court of Spain (Audiencia Nacional), supported by Europol. In total 83 suspects were arrested, 28 of them are professional players. One of them took part in the last US Open.

The ATP and Tennis Australia today officially unveiled the ATP Cup - a new team competition to kickstart the men’s tennis season from 2020. The tournament will be played across three Australian cities over ten days in the lead up to the Australian Open and will feature teams from 24 countries.

The format of the ATP Cup will see nations split into six groups, with eight teams emerging from the round-robin stage to compete in the knockout phase until only one team is left standing. There will be up to five players in each team, with ties comprising two singles matches and one doubles match. The criteria for entry into the ATP Cup will be based off the ATP Ranking of the No. 1 singles player from each country.

What are the Nitto Finals? Sort of like WTA's Elite Trophy that's for the sub-elite?

Nadal and Del Potro are injuried, so it's kind of sub-elite, well except Federer and Djokovic.

After the Davis Cup, also Wimbledon has banished the most epic of fights: 5th sets will now get a tiebreak when it gets to 12-12.

Why 12-12 ? I guess 6-6 is too mainstream for Wimbledon.

At least Isner's matches will be at least 30 minutes shorter :p
