  4. I'm sorry for Franzoni, putting your fate in the hands of Vinatzer must be one of the worst feelings in the world.
  5. Vinatzer with a predictably disgusting run.
  6. Nef This could be the gold medal run, I'm not sure Meillard can top this.
  7. Great run by Matt, this slope is tailor-made for him.
  8. Gstrein with a pretty good run, a couple of tenths too slow in the final section.
  9. The start interval is 3 minutes. I believe that's the start interval in Kitzbühel for the top 10 athletes, and that's a 2-minute run.
  10. Hallberg is soooo talented. He has a peculiar ability to 'create' speed even on flat sections. He made a couple of mistakes at the beginning of flat sections that should have cost him plenty of time, but he somehow managed to regain speed in a few gates.
  11. Why is there such a long time between starts? Are they trying to drag this out as much as possible because there are only 20 participants?
  12. I'm not a fan either, but apparently the IOC is pushing really hard for team events everywhere, and it's very hard to come up with a formula for a team competition in a strictly individual sport like alpine skiing.
  14. I think a 50-second run is enough for Noel, even on an easy slope. If he skies clean, I think he can make up the time on Yule at the very least, probably on Nef as well. Also, no slope is easy enough to prevent Vinatzer from not finishing.
  15. Sejersted with an awful run. McGrath will start 5th, he has to come up with something special.
  16. Franzoni's final section is insane. I think the course is generally rougher than it was on Saturday. Watch out for NOR1.
  17. Lehto with a decent run, but Hallberg needs a legendary run to put FIN in contention.
  18. He also tends to perform awfully when he is at the top after the 1st run, so I'm not sure I'm thrilled by the perspective of him starting last.
  19. Monney puts SUI3 in contention, although Yule hasn't looked phenomenal this year.
  20. Nice run by Jocher. Watch out because Germany has Strasser in the slalom.
  22. Switzerland is the clear favourite for gold with Odermatt/Meillard and Von Allmen/Nef. It's weird they didn't go with Von Allmen/Meillard, which would have been an even more untouchable duo, barring mistakes. It's as if they opted to go for a 1-2 instead of maximizing their chances of winning. My personal pick for bronze would be the Austrian duo of Kriechmayr and Feller. Still, it is a very difficult race to predict, and I don't remember the slalom course particularly well because there have been no slalom races in Bormio for a long time (I'm pretty sure it's quite flat, though).
