  1. Day 13 Thursday Today I would watch volleyball semis above all. Hopefully Poland will make it to the final for the first time since 1976 I would like to watch basketball and handball semis as well And athletics, as always. M 110 hurdles, M 400 and M triple jump finals would be most interesting for me. In M shot put final we could see Michał Haratyk, I hope. Canoeing finals - maybe we would see Poland in Women's C1 200 and K1 500 finals Beach volleyball semis Diving Women's platform final Some track cycling, sports climbing and open water swimming - But there would be a lot of schedulling collisions
  2. Tv replies show that Fabio Jakobsen lost his helmet in the first impact and then hit the ground with his head with no helmet on. And then he might have been hit to the head by FDJ rider bike as well. This is looking terrible.
  3. According to Polish TV Fabio Jakobsen is in artificial coma and intubated. He was taken to the hospital.
  4. The rumours here in PL are somebody died in this accicent. A rider or a man standing behind the barriers. I hope these rumours are false.
  5. Yes, I know. Too downhill. Too dangerous from Pętla Słoneczna to the finish.
  6. It's not only too narrow, it's also too dowhnill. There is too much speed in such a narrow road. I don't remember any stages in TDF or Giro who would have such a downhill straight sprint finish. Too dangerous,
  7. This Lotto Jumbo Rider should spend some time in prison for that, imo.
  8. 9. I hope he will and I think he will. He will not repeat the same mistake for the third time.
  10. And another favourite olympic moment. How could I forget that before? Mr. Vladimir Grbic. Sydney 2000.
  11. Day 12 Wednesday Today I would watch: - athletics - M Hammer throw final with Paweł Fajdek as probably biggest chance for Gold for Poland in Tokyo, M 800 final hopefully with Adam Kszczot, W 400 hurdles final with Dalilah Muhammad and Sydney Mclaughlin both in form to beat WR, W 400 semis - who will be faster - Justyna Święty-Ersetic or Lisanne de Witte?, M 110 hurdles powerful semis - equestrian ind. jumping final - But it's coliding with athletics - what an awful scheduling here - cycling track men's sprint - some Polish-Dutch rivalry is possible here - Women's handball quarterfinals - with no Polish team, but I would cheer the Netherlands and France on - beach volleyball men's QFs - maybe a Polish pair will be here - Sky Brown in skateboarding - and last 2kms in open water W swim PS. And I hope there would be a medal for Lebanon - whatever event.
  12. Another OFF-TOPIC : https://www.thenation.com/article/society/beijing-olympics-boycott/
  13. Day 11 Tuesday would be one of the most interesting days in Tokyo. This is quarterfinals day in all of my 3 favourite men's team sports - volleyball, basketball and handball. Win or go home, they say. In men's volleyball I hope Poland would finally make it to the semis, after 4 QF losts in a row in '4, '8, '12 and '16. But it won't be an easy task, because we would probably play against USA, Brazil, France or Russia (or maybe Argentina coached by Julio Velasco). With every one of these teams we played very tense and hard-won matches in the past. There were some easy wins, too. But there were some lost games. So it's hard to predict but I do believe Wilfredo Leon will make a difference here and we will be in the semis. If we would win a QF against Russia - that would be superfun for me. I hope that there wouldn't be schedule collision - volleyball Poland game vs athletics, canoeing or gymnastics. That's not very probable though. In basketball we still have a slim chance to advance to the olympics, but we would have to beat Lithuania in Lithuania to do it. We won against China in China in wch 2019, but that would be much more difficult task. So these olympics QF would be rather without us, but still decent games to follow. Can anybody surprise USA here? In handball there would be no Polish team in Tokyo. The superfast decline from 4th place in Rio to going to the next world champs only by getting wild card is very devastating for me. Anyway, there will be some tense matches with very fierced endings - that's what I like the most. Then athletics obviously. M 400 hurdles - Karsten Warholm WR? It may be one of the most memorable events of the whole games. M Pole Vault - Mondo Duplantis WR? I hope it will be an amazing event - maybe all 3 medalists will jump 6.00 m at least, and Piotr Lisek among them W 800m final - a very open race if Caster Semenya really isn't there and W hammer throw final - I think Anita Włodarczyk will decide to come to Tokyo only when she would feel that she's capable of 3rd straight gold. I hope she will but I'm afraid it will be very difficult. Be careful of US throwers here. Then last gymnastics finals with my favourite events - beam and horizontal bar. And first canoe sprint finals - Poland had many olympics medals in canoeing, but - it's hard to believe for me - we don't have one single gold yet. Would it happen in Tokyo eventually? Who knows. But on Tuesday there could be 2 medals in women's K1 200m and K2 500m. And finally - women's beach volleyball quarters and men's football semis. Wow, that's a lot to follow in one day.

  16. If you want to watch my personal best olympic moment, here it is. My oh my, how High was it? 2,40? 2,43? 2,45? Higher? I jumped High on my couch at that moment, too. Almost hitting the ceiling with my head ? Anyway, he ended with Silver on that day.
  17. Wow. Am I the only one searching YouTube frantically right now trying to find video of some things you mentioned here? ? e.g. Ariana Fontana? Wowow. How could I have missed this one watching those Games in real time?
  18. @Wumo my most memorable bitter-sweet Dannish olympic moment? Obviously men's Handball semi in Rio. Last second Daszek 's goal sending this to overtime. And Karol Bielecki' s tears when the overtime is over. And speaking of athletics - Wilson Kipketer shaking head with disbelief right after 800 final in Sydney
  19. @phelps I wish you health!!! All the best wishes for you!!! Where can I see this Abbagnale race video with this commentary? @CCB man, you've seen a lot... :-) Lucky you! My favourite olympic Dutch moment? Probably VDH winning 200 free in Athens. The race. @intoronto that 's great you were in PyeongChang. But please don' t tell me you've seen Kasai or Ester Ledecka SuperG there, because I will be so jealous :-) @Gianlu33 "seeing live" - So you were there, too? Wow. @bmo all the best for you, too! And thank you for your idea for nice discussion - what would you see today in Tokyo??!! it's not that I don't like US sportsmen and sportswomen.
