  1. ugh, Crooks was leading for 3/4 of the race before fading over the final length. Australia takes both 100m finals to start the night
  2. So I've been meaning to comment on this thread but haven't found time until now. I'll give my thoughts in reverse order. Australia is definitely taking gold in the women's 4x100m freestyle relay unless they get DQ'd. Their sprint freestyle depth is absolutely insane that they could still win gold with their B team. I'll say Gold: Australia; Silver: United States; Bronze Canada The men's relay could be more interesting. The US should be the favourites on paper but Italy is on the rise and I would also expect Australia to give a better performance. Great Britain should also be in contention and if Russia is allowed back, they'll be in the mix as well. So for now, I'll say Gold: United States; Silver: Italy; Bronze: Australia Now the Women's 400m Freestyle could be the event that I look forward to the most. Aduel between Titmus, Ledecky, and McIntosh (and maybe even Li) will be really exciting. I voted for McIntosh to win because because I'm Canadian and I think she's on an amazing trajectory right now. She's already on Ledecky's level and she might overtake Titmus soon as well. So my prediction is Gold: McIntosh; Silver: Titmus; Bronze: Ledecky
  3. and another Australian relay WR silver medal for Canada is great too

  6. Alex Ovechkin scored his 800th goal last night. 3rd player in history to hit the milestone after Wayne Gretzky and Gordie Howe.

  17. I seriously have no idea what the Rangers are doing anymore.
  18. The leafs always choke during the final act so it wouldn't matter anyways.
  19. Anyone know the last time 3 European teams lost on the same day during the group stage? Can't be something that happens that often.
  20. I know everyone's clowning on Canada here and rightfully so but I can't complain too much. Croatia definitely outclassed us today. However, if you told me a few years ago that we would be able to go head to head with Belgium and take a lead against Croatia, there's no way I would have believed you. Almost 10 years ago, we literally lost 8-1 to Honduras. Now at this tournament, we were able to gain a lot of people's respect during the Belgium game and scored a historical first goal against Croatia. Now hoping for a point against Morocco but it looks like it won't be easy. Our core is still very young so I'm hopeful for 2026
