  1. That really does not even get close to him saying Johaug would do the 5km classic race 6-7 minutes faster than the winner of said qualifying race
  2. Temptation was big to be honest, but nothing was interesting enough and choosing Kensington just to choose Kensington was a bridge too far
  3. Within my list of possible entries, there is not even one by Kensington this time
  4. @Function CR Lee Ying Qu already has 30 athletes behind her, which means she can't miss the top-60 anymore and so she qualified for the pursuit
  5. Johaug's make up is running out because of her tears. Quick, someone give her some lipstick.
  6. Me neither (although since it's an Arab nation I'm not surprised), but mostly I didn't know Algeria also runs away from competing against them... Don't know if that's the case here or if the Algerian guy just is 10 levels below the Mongolian, I don't know either of them, just found it curious
  7. The Algerian guy (blue) looks like he was just trying his best to let the Mongolian guy get a grip on him so he would lose...
  8. There's a very likely Dutch entry that has been stuck in my head ever since I first heard it last week, but I'm just gonna see if any song can pass it End of update.
  9. Guilty pleasure since last month or so
  10. Ah great, the "We should cheer or not cheer for athletes based on the flag behind their name" brigade
  11. Someone with a worse mentality would have been way too far behind to have any chance of catching up with the Swedes even when they fell, so yeah, quite a significant part was down to mentality (and the other part was luck, as she said herself) Besides, she has probably shown the toughest mentality of everyone in the past half year or so.
  12. Meh. Fine about an event like the cross events, where it's a very clear 'who crosses the line first wins' kind of competition, but especially big air consisted of so much time of nothing happening...couldn't they have waited until for example at least the women's level was worthy of an Olympic event?
  13. Like Eide, you mean? https://video.eurosport.co.uk/cross-country-skiing/she-s-with-me-every-day-bronze-medallist-mari-eide-pays-tribute-to-support-after-death-of-sister_vid1165901/video.shtml "I kept fighting and I was lucky" followed by "I kept fighting until the end" and "I was lucky".
  14. Yes, he was even luckier than Eide, which is why I mentioned him. Anyway, Eide should be honest too and say the truth: never give up, because it might get paid off
  15. Cool, we found like the one person in the world who hates the Steven Bradbury story
  16. I could not give two f*cks if Eide 'deserved' the medal or not. She was behind, kept fighting despite being behind and it got paid off at the very best moment. That's the right mentality you need, instead of being in 5th or 6th place and 'giving up' because you're probably not gonna win anymore.
  17. That's meant negatively? Here we were just talking about how we're not a fan of him
  18. Eide, YES!! Losing your sister (died during a training), wanting to retire and then getting a surprise world champs medal in the very same season, that is so cool.
