  1. DNF for Pavel Repilov and what looks like either a crash or some very big mistakes for 2019 world champion Jonas Müller. https://www.fil-luge.org/cdn/uploads/sprint-men-qualification-koenigssee-result.pdf
  2. I wonder how many sports have more women than men competing in a singles event
  3. Am I missing something here or how is this not a massive knife in the back of her own husband? She basically puts her country above her own marriage?
  4. I don't think he's very much interested in sprinting for top-3 finishes in the Tour of Hainan/Langkawi/Taiwan or whichever new soulless race the next sheikh comes up with.
  5. Oh and this is pretty sweet https://papplikum-oberstdorf2021.com
  6. This confuses me: But....Lillehammer was for early December and has been postponed, after which the women's ski jumping and the Nordic combined were recently finally given a date (in February), but the cross-country events there are still listed as postponed. Oslo is still the only World Cup in Norway this season according to the FIS calendar, but this FIS article suggests otherwise.
  7. Yeah I really can't see him beat Van den Berg and/or Van 't Hoenderdaal, but you never know He earned his right to at least fight for it.
  8. Didn't you have an Italian flag or something as your UI? I'm surprised how easy it is to forget what someone's UI actually looked like once you don't see it anymore
  9. Did the French thread always have this name?
  10. Host seems pretty...interesting, for a bit of fun horror that is Why would anyone specifically not want to watch a COVID-related film other than a film where it's basically just about some regular person's regular boring life with the only difference being there's a lockdown
  11. Roy van den Berg, Nils van 't Hoenderdaal and Theo Bos will be fighting in Grenchen today to decide who will go to Tokyo as starter in the team sprint.
  12. There is a western camp in modern pentathlon?
  13. @hckosice Veronika Machyniakova came through all shootings without a single miss, first one to do so today
  14. Not entirely necessary, the Ridnaun IBU Cup last season was shown with some static cameras and combined with live timing that worked fairly well (for a second-tier event)
  15. I believe there's around 170k people vaccinated here (the first time, at least), 75% of the vaccines are still waiting in freezers. Not sure, but I think laying around in a freezer is not how the vaccine protects people Meanwhile Germany and Austria are obligating a higher level of masks, so it's only a matter of time for that to happen in other countries as well (and they are freaking expensive). Here in the Netherlands there's some 'protests' against the curfew, which is the nice word for criminal youth rioting in many places because they've got nothing to do with their lives and see an opportunity to destroy property, as per usual with these kind of things.
  16. Fairly sure last year Eurovision had everything (except for in the few countries mentioned, unfortunately for you) and Eurosport had the weekend events. And for the youth/junior worlds I believe the first events were nowhere and only the final events were shown.
  17. Brazil's world championships clothes. They are....clothes. https://www.instagram.com/p/CKhfpbZguvA/
  18. This really makes me wonder why on earth some student (?) decides to write about Swiss biathlon's history in the 50's and 60's....I mean, how much more obscure do you want to make it? Which is not to say it's not interesting, because it absolutely is!
  19. PEN because of pushing Selma Poutsma past Prosvirnova in the last meters of the final, so Poutsma could end up with a bronze medal in the overall....yeah, that's not allowed and they both ended up with a big fat PEN next to their name
  20. It's actually very good indeed. 42,7 in Salt Lake last season and 42,6 in Inzell two months ago, that is a very significant improvement already. 2022 is definitely going to be too early, but if she keeps it up, 2026 does not at all seem unrealistic. Cool!
  21. This official acceptance of the quota, how is that done? A certain letter or form or something? Just curious about the paperwork that makes things official
