  1. Abdi Nageeye disappeared. 6th with 4k to go, but apparently a DNF.
  2. Bashir Abdi is running a great race.
  3. Olympic silver medalist Abdi Nageeye is next to drop off, after what looks to be an excellent attack by Tamirat Tola.
  4. And that's Galen Rupp in trouble.
  5. Reigning champion Desisa being dropped significantly later than expected.
  6. Bat-Ochir at the front, now the world championships are really underway
  7. Meanwhile the Russian federation has announced his death https://sportish.co/general/77155.html
  8. Tragic news... Although, what a weird way of writing:
  9. Very impressive race by Anne Terpstra in hot, high and hard Vallnord Two flat tyres and a fall for McConnell though. And also a fantastic second place, coming from somewhere back as always, for young Mona Mitterwallner on a track that is basically made for her!
  10. DNS for Roglic today, unsurprisingly. He did have an absolutely crucial role in Vingegaard's win, if he makes it.
  11. Bit of a disappointing 100m final in terms of time, but definitely not in terms of tension, that was fun Same for long jump: no fantastic jumps, but a great twist at the end. I truly thought Tentoglou was going to do it in Tentoglou style again - never amazingly good, but always incredibly consistent and solid - but not this time
  12. TV director/camera guy in the call room really should pay a little more attention. Luckily the Ugandan athlete did so just in time, and so narrowly avoided taking off her bra in full view of the camera.
  13. Those 110m hurdles heats were...messy.
  14. I know you are joking, but people who never actually watch anything do actually use this as their serious argument
  15. Third at the NCAA championships, 5th at nationals. Not a bad runner at all, otherwise you wouldn't be fairly consistently running sub-51 seconds, but yeah, no top of the world. It's a bit harsh to criticize her too much I think, she basically performed at or close to her level. The bigger issue was the rest of the team.
  16. Allyson Felix was awful as well. That's what happens when you want to present a once-great legend with a 'free' gold in her last and home championships, even though she quite obviously isn't nearly good enough anymore. Too bad the race wasn't three meters longer
  17. At least Choeyang holds on for bronze. And history for Peru
  18. One would assume race walking in triathlon would be enough of a time punishment by itself.
  19. I think it was a matter of miscommunication..
  20. Thank you, Oregon 2022.
  21. Also, she was DQ'ed
  22. Dutch Eurosport ski jumping viewers know that thanks to Adam Małysz
  23. As if channels all over the world are broadcasting race walking of all things
  24. I don't really think that's strange What are their speeds? At least I assume they have been tested/raced?
