  1. Huh, I had no idea the Olympics were here That's pretty cool indeed
  2. Marco Büchel is talking about how the sun shining stronger now might have caused a slight upwind at the top part of the track. Which might explain a lot of people losing time there (and not so much in the bottom).
  3. Among the women, so far, maybe. Odermatt certainly would have thought he'd have at least a medal out of the first two events.
  4. I think if she were to really challenge for a medal here, she'd need to have a bit more than a 2nd + 5th in one weekend two years ago and an 8th + 9th a month later in another weekend, and that's it The field is small, but not because half the top of the world isn't there or something. And it would need to be way more technical for her anyway, as we saw in the super-G: one of the slowest of the entire field in the top part, but an absolute bullet in the technical bottom part.
  5. Presumably because her medal chances are significantly bigger there than on the downhill.
  6. Oh and a DQ anyway.
  7. That was....close RIP phelps
  8. Here we go, hold on @phelps
  9. Top of the Roc de Fer is looking stunning
  10. And it's not like the numbers are growing any slower....yesterday morning I woke up, it was around 8000, and I thought it'd reach 10.000 by the end of the day. It got there by lunch I really wish it would stop growing, but if it keeps going like this it'll be way above 20.000 not as final tally, but by the end of today. And that's all barely even counting most parts of Syria, where especially in the Assad-held regions tons and tons and tons of help is basically just being blocked.
  11. Mad.
  12. Yeah see my later post, I was entirely messing things up
  13. USA being USA, the entire match between the Lakers and Thunder was put on hold for an eternity the moment James made the record-breaking score to beat Jabbar's record Nobody gave a fuck about the match anymore, including the Lakers and the NBA itself apparently, considering they basically entirely ignored the result Still, definitely a very fun moment to see.
  14. Oh wait, I misread, I thought you meant they will probably be the first ones from 2000 to get a World Cup podium. I was not paying attention, so never mind
  15. Hartweg disagrees
  16. Fillon Maillet wanted to go for another lap, but nah
  17. Giacomel's last shooting is already going to be one of my main highlights of these world championships. Going for gold instead of a 'safe' silver, that's some balls.
  18. Wow, Giacomel really went for broke there Didn't pay off entirely, but definitely didn't throw anything away
  19. Samuelsson turning penalty loops today.
  20. Huh, I thought Nedza-Kubiniec was a woman Does he have a sister (or wife)? I'm 99% sure there was a woman with that name competing in the Universiade, which I remember because the English commentator was constantly calling her Kubinieca or Kruberenic or Kruberenica, or anything else than Kubiniec
  21. What's up with Kazar then? He has been racing this season, even more than last season, so it's not like he was totally retired
  22. Great showing by Herrmann, 20+ seconds faster than anyone else around her.
  23. Not bad at all from Remenova. One can't fairly expect her to hold a top-5 position in this field.
  24. Slovakia with 5 hits, but Tandrevold possibly hit the rabbit.
