  1. Therefore I'm really glad we don't have this "trials" system, forcing athletes to have two major peaks. McEvoy for now is the favorite for the men's 100m I guess, but first I'd like to see him get under 47.50 again at the Olympics. I don't think he'll break his time of this week there.
  2. What a surprise, big discussions and possibly unfair decisions in boxing...who could have imagined that Can we just please get this joke of a sport away from the Olympics for one or two cycles so they can get their mess straight?
  3. Brzoskowski already had the qualifying standard earlier, Toussaint is a new addition Also some new names came up in the women's 200m, which could make the composition of the 4x200 interesting. The 100 free for the women was a bit disappointing in general and so was Verschuren not making the standard yet (he has one chance left at the European champs in London).
  4. Cameron McEvoy wins the 100 free final in....dear Lord, 47.04
  5. Wow, sick times in Australia again.. Also a 2:05.4 for Madeline Groves in the 200 fly The Aussie's are on fire
  6. Alicia Holzken (-51kg) is also out against Sarah Ourahmoune, but I guess that's not a surprise at all
  7. Ah crap, our biggest hope by far, Nouchka Fontijn, loses in the first round against Christine Desmond of Ireland
  8. I know, but it'd at least be something
  9. Thanks, so first Yugoslavia splits into a dozen water polo top nations and then one of those nations splits into two more water polo top nations
  10. By the way, for those who actually know about it: is Serbia really such a huge gold medal favorite as the bookmakers say they are? I mean, they're giving them a 70+% chance to win the gold and you can get 3.6 times your money when they don't win the gold..
  11. Aw yeah, suddenly I really want to see the matches of the French team in Rio, especially them getting completely destroyed by Croatia and Montenegro
  12. I suppose this means Émilie Fer, gold medalist in London, is out of Rio.
  13. Cases of "fixed draws" are widely known as well To be fair I don't really care about it. A team that's good enough to qualify won't need fixed draws.
  14. What a horribly boring race once the crashes were done... Marquez showed once again that he is by far the best MotoGP-rider in the world at the moment
  15. Rossi crashes, then Pedrosa falls and hits Dovizioso to the floor and barely a lap later Crutchlow and Smith go for maximum points in the synchronized crashing
  16. 4 hours later and I still can barely believe what a legendary race we've witnessed today Even everywhere in the media people are calling it one of the best classics ever
  17. It's time for Moto3 The start is delayed with a few minutes because of an oil spillage, but we should be on our way in 10 minutes
  18. Oh man, I don't remember getting so crazy in the last kilometers of a cycling race, what an absolutely legendary, epic final like almost never seen before And hearing the freaking annoying Belgian commentator in mourning because Boonen lost it in the last meters makes it even so much sweeter
  19. HAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNN
  20. Sep attacks, Boonen attacks, Stannard attacks again and all in 30 seconds
  21. Hayman attacks But Vanmarcke caught him after some seconds What a crazy final!
  22. And another all-out attack by Stannard, neutralized by Boonen and Vanmarcke. Meanwhile, Hayman is still sneaking in the back of the group without doing any work...
  23. Damn, they caught him
  24. What a finale
