  1. Well that's a whole different discussion than the "who will win the medals" discussion
  2. Rejecting continental quotas is one thing and we can think of that what we want, but letting athletes compete in an OQT only to take away the quota is just sick.
  3. Ivory Coast could have made their Olympic fencing debut Or will South Africa reject this continental quota as well? I think that's only for team sports right?
  4. I forgot, China won't win 2 medals in the women's team event of course Well clearly if there is a non-Asian country that could win 1 or even 2 medals, it's Germany.
  5. We have to start with a very sad bit of news though. Martin Fitzmaurice has passed away at age 75 For many years, when I wasn't watching PDC yet (mostly because tv didn't show it here and because I hated the "money federation" back then) the darts at The Embassy - The Lakeside - started with Fitzmaurice's legendary "Are you ready?!! Ladies and gentlemen....Let's! Play! Darts!".
  6. It's possible, but of course normally the Asians will dominate the medal table
  7. Li Jie out Although she should of course qualify through the rankings, so basically she's just playing here for fun I guess
  8. Looking forward to Germany - Zimbabwe
  9. The match finished, but it disappeared before I saw the result..
  10. The brothers are making it tense, both won a game 11-7 and both won a game 11-8
  11. 14:39.54 for Horton by the way, 9th time ever. I think we can safely say these Aussie champs have been one of the best swimming meets ever (in terms of crazy times)
  12. 23.84 for Cate, holy shit
  13. Still it must be kind of a bad match for both, knowing that if you win, your brother will lose his Olympic dream
  14. Saying farewell with 60 points in a game is quite amazing
  15. And the other has no chance to reach the Olympics? Oh boy...that's a tough day for them..
  16. Wow, she turned that around incredibly quick then..according to the live score she was far behind the last time I saw her score and a couple of minutes later the live score was gone, so the match was over (and I supposed that meant the Hungarian had finished it off).
  17. Awesome, he'll be 55 in Rio He competed at 43 in the Athens Olympics, finished 62nd in the ranking round ahead of only the atletes of Laos and Mauritius. One place above him there by the way was Elder, Fiji's qualifier of this week Also, Tatafu will be Tonga's first ever woman in Olympic archery
  18. Kirill Gerassimenko vs. Noshad Alamyan 0-4
  19. For those who want to follow live scores and don't find something official, most bookmakers have live scores for table tennis (live.fonbet.com, for example).
  20. I just hope Müllenberg will punch the Turkish guy to smithereens so there won't even be points involved. Because probably one KO would not even be enough to convince the judges to go against the Turk.
  21. Judging by the weather of the past couple of hours, I really doubt that.
