Congratulations to France, 1cm away from a draw in the last second And our girls had like 3-4 very big chances to equalize the match, but they missed. It's quite simple: when you miss and miss and miss your chances, you're not gonna win. It should have been either a DQ or a re-run which, if their time was fast enough, would put them in the final but not take anyone out (though I don't know if there are 9 lanes here as often there are). If they make it, China is royally screwed over.

Saturday could have one of the most emotional medals of the Games by the way. Whatever happens, I really, really hope Andrea Hewitt makes it on to the podium (preferrably gold of course), that would probably put tears in the eyes of many viewers since her fiancee Laurent Vidal died last year in November.

Normally she isn't as horrible as today The difference she can make on 2nd position is usually bigger than what she would lose with her normal exchange. Sedney in 2nd would just slow things down.
