  1. Is there an official one? For me it's rather simple: Fourcade had an insane, historic season. I don't see any French athlete on this list or somewhere else who tops that.
  2. Yeah, because Riner never won that before.
  3. Any idea why Serbia was cancelled? Less than two weeks ago the Chileans were still planning on going there.
  4. According to Eurosport. In the official one Riner won, I believe? Which is utterly ridiculous by the way, there's absolutely nobody who deserved it more than Fourcade, so it's good to see the people at Eurosport have a better view at it.
  5. Holy crap, 1:07.64 for Nuis, a huge new 'sea level world record' Nice for him that he finally made it, after missing out on the Olympics the last two times (even though he was good enough to qualify in those seasons, he failed to be at his best at the right time)
  6. Achtereekte: yes Das: mostly yes, in theory she could still be replaced by someone if the federation wants to do so, but that's highly unlikely
  7. No Olympic 1500m for reigning Olympic champion Jorien ter Mors. Lotte van Beek makes it after a huge injury a few years ago
  8. They're talking so long they already missed the first pair This is classic NOS.
  9. Today's live stream: https://nos.nl/livestream/2208776-okt-schaatsen.html Women's 1500m, followed by the men's 1000m. Especially that last one is likely to be a battlefield.
  10. And Cross takes the win, after vdBergh misses 8 (!) consecutive darts to make it 2-2 in the final set.
  11. Van den Bergh from 1-4 down to 4-4
  12. And down he goes, DQ
  13. DQ incoming for (for now) 2nd placed Kriechmayr
  14. Perfect situation for Pinturault, he started the slalom early and everyone who might have a clearly better slalom than him only starts when the top-30 has wrecked the course
  15. Lewis is destroying Webster at the moment, 4-0 and one set to go to book a semi-final spot.
  16. Oh yeah, I forgot this for the Netherlands as well Oh well, seeing fantastic sports is the main priority for most sports fans I hope, the flag behind or in front of the names is just secondary.
  17. Hubertus von Hohenlohe spotted at the World Cup in Lienz
  18. What do you mean, 'when do we start'? The thread is open, we started
  19. Which he apparently wanted to go to, but couldn't because he couldn't really organize it in time. Now he financed this trip by himself and went there without federation help. Nothing against him, he's nice, but personally I hope Victor (the brother of Project Bogota's Paulo) keeps it
  20. For me it was good, I've seen a lot of awesome sports and many close competitions. Fantastic moments like Takuma Sato winning the Indy 500, Lowell Bailey becoming world champion in biathlon or Trinidad & Tobago beating the US in the 4x400m at the world championships So, good. That's a whole lot more important than thinking about how it was for my country, which I guess was ok, I don't really know Like always: good things, bad things, ok things. Since it's 2 questions but only one poll, I'm voting only for how it was for me
  21. Leandro Lutz has gone to Turkey by himself, in sort of a last-ditch effort to try and surpass Victor Santos on the FIS points list and get Brazil's ticket.
  22. Well, this whole selection thing is confusing me every time, but the people on the Dutch forums who are more knowledgeable about it than me seem to be pretty convinced they'll select Blokhuijsen as a crucial part of the pursuit team.
