  1. 28-dart finish for Schindler
  2. By the way, 'Men's' can be taken away from the thread name, there is no women's world championships.
  3. Wow, Peter Wright lost 13kg in the last three weeks. All a result of his gallstones, which made it uncertain whether or not he would start tomorrow (he will, so that's good).
  4. Wow that was an awesome final
  5. Terrible live timing by the way, this is not useful at all... They should have it as a simple bracket.
  6. Nevena, so close...without that mistake
  7. Impressive enough
  8. Ignjatovic in the 1/8 finals
  9. Wow Tilley was flying...
  10. Nice run for Jelinkova, too bad her starts are not of this level.
  11. That would be rather unfair, DQ = DQ.
  12. Apparently Meillard's DQ was changed..
  13. Noens collecting flags
  14. Fantastic run from Nevena, too bad her start was very crappy..
  15. But on a more serious note: does this article say 'a stage in Algeria is possible next year', or does it say 'if the Tour leaves Europe, it will be to Algeria'? Because that last one is what Google Translate seems to come up with @Bohemia A little help?
  16. The next? Surely they already mostly know where they will go next year, so a stage in Algeria would be in the plans for the 2019 or later?
  17. Jelinkova That means we'll see her in the KO round tonight right?
  18. Oh well, she saw that coming for a while already. The fact that she even had a chance to qualify for 2018 was sort of a miracle already, considering it's still only a bit more than three years ago since she stood on ski's for the first time in her life.
  19. @shadowhelix Welcome
  20. Some of the best days of my life (which of course was not due to the biathlon, but due to one specific person ) The Chileans (Juan Agurto and Claudia Salcedo) were great too: Team Brazil/Australia left on Sunday, the Chileans are staying until tomorrow before travelling to Serbia for FIS-races. They barely speak English, but invited me for dinner Sunday night so I wouldn't have to eat all alone (in the days before I had cooked in their room already since there was no kitchen in my room), and at dinner they more or less ordered me to come have breakfast on Monday morning...during both meals we had our phones on the table to use Google Translate half the time Pyeongchang isn't happening, that was in case Bruna would qualify for the Olympics which is rather unrealistic now (she'd need some miraculous FIS points but isn't really gonna try FIS races anymore this season anyway). No problem, I'll save up for Beijing 2022
  21. I had three stops during my travel in the past two weeks, which was of course mostly focussed on visiting my best friend (who then became my girlfriend at the first stop) and seeing her biathlon competitions in the IBU Cup. I made some very nice new friends (most notably an Australian athlete and two Chilean athletes) and as always in the Alps, the landscape was beautiful. I'm not the best photographer and I just used my phone (and my main focus was on personal things instead of the landscapes and 'touristic' things), but still I'd like to show some pictures Lenzerheide, Switzerland: Livigno, Italy: Obertilliach, Austria:
  22. That third and fourth set from Münch is one of my highlights so far this championships. There was also another one who had a 135 average set, I believe Anderson? Plus Van der Voort beating Chisnall was cool and the resulting bitch fight in Dutch media between him and Co Stompé as well (mostly VdV calling Co a dick for saying things about his long time injury behind his back)
  23. Meanwhile The Warrior is nowhere to be seen anymore the past years
  24. Munch beats Adrian Lewis
  25. Ah wait, I misunderstood. I thought this was the prize for 'Sportsman/woman/person of the year'
