  1. She didn't exactly sprint like crazy, she just moved away in a normal pace where the rest wasn't feeling like doing anything
  2. That was an impressive race indeed! Everyone all of a sudden started feeling really nervous when he was almost catching them
  3. That seems only logical. You don't want a situation where the decision is made for them to compete as neutrals and then you've got a month and a half or something to figure out what they're gonna wear.
  4. Challenge accepted https://data.fis-ski.com/dynamic/results.html?sector=CC&competitorid=194536&raceid=29688
  5. Hmm, not really like a crazy woman Mostly she just attacked early on and nobody seemed to care until she was only 100 meters or so behind them
  6. Alusalu got a medal? I thought she was caught by the pack (who were chasing the three leaders) some laps before the end..
  7. Definitely go for the easier field, although the main 'advantage' of those Balkan races is that it's more likely there will be at least five athletes (basically 99% sure I'd say), which is needed to get FIS points.
  8. Grandma Pechstein wins the mass start Nobody of the top riders wanted to catch the group
  9. I'm not sure about the exact numbers, but I do know the minimum is lower for distance races than for sprints. It's somewhere in the FIS documentation though. Distance races are definitely better to get points, although I would check the documentation before drawing any conclusions
  10. Iran does sound a bit risky, but they do have 4 women who are (relatively speaking) pretty close, with three others who are far behind. At least that's how it was several weeks ago: https://data.fis-ski.com/dynamic/results.html?sector=CC&raceid=30309 Which was rollerskiing, so one might imagine those last 2-3 aren't making the move to snow yet.
  11. Better options than Lebanon, definitely. You don't wanna go all the way there and then end up seeing only two of the 'promised' 5 athletes participating.
  12. I know one of the Brazilians often travels to the Balkan for that reason. Apart from that, something like Iran indeed, since I believe 140-150 (around that) is the minimum number of points for a race with 5 (?) competitors, no matter their level. It's also the points they give to the winner of those races in Brazil/Argentina usually, but those athletes have a higher level than the Iranians.
  13. Well and it's weightlifting, a 2 or 4 year absence is rather easily explained
  14. Possible, but not under his current name by IWF (otherwise he would be listed on their website I suppose)
  15. He almost seemed sort of injured or something. I mean, I know about the visa thing, but still.
  16. Rostami opening 8kg under his WR, that might not have been the best move ever..?
  17. Epic jump from Murashov
  18. Tied 4th fastest ever time for Takagi
  19. In his 3rd ever competition and his first since 2013 (when he was a junior and lifted 151kg).........
  20. Because most of the times they go to Calgary or Salt Lake, there are not THIS many super fast times. And Leenstra breaking the national record and setting one of the fastest ever times is not something you'd expect easy like that.
  21. Wow, Leenstra!!
  22. Live stream fails when the snatch is being decided, showing only the scoreboard instead of the lifts
  23. 2nd fastest time ever by Yuskov, holy moly And 5th fastest ever for Verweij
