    Yeah I knew about not competing against Israeli's, that's sad. The fact that a major sports federation and some parliament members are starting to ask for changes in this whole thing might be a tiny glimmer of hope to see this change one day? And now that you mention it, I remember you talking about how some American wrestlers like Jordan Burroughs were actually welcomed as super stars in Iran this or last year (at the World Cup I believe).

    I'm more surprised that competing against an American would apparently have been no problem, didn't know that.

    After over 10 years of World Cup competition for Austria, Tomaz Druml switched to Slovenia during the summer. He won't compete for them however, he announced due to heart problems he has to retire from professional sports

    Does Italian have a word for Nordic combined athletes? Just out of curiousity, since in Dutch, we have no word for this and so an athlete is mostly called 'a practicioner of the sport of Nordic combined' or 'a Nordic combined-athlete' (well, in those 2-3 articles about it every four years during the Olympics) I always love (and mostly use) the German word, Kombinierer

    Probably the person who got the most points at the annual ISU Gala Skee-Ball tournament or something, judging by how logical the mass start format is.

    Oh and those numbers on the helmets that have NOTHING to do with the numbers on the start lists on ISU's website are highly irritating as well. Just like a complete lack of graphics. If you can show lap times every lap in single distances, why not show a simple top-3/5 in a small bit of the screen every lap, just to make it easier to track who's in front?

    Please go work for the ISU, because this makes much more sense than what they are doing. Ok, 25 is still too short, a mass start can be longer than the longest single distance (think 40-50km and no stupid semi-finals, works a million times per year in the Dutch Marathon Cup), and those freaking points...ugh, they are utterly useless. Oh, and confusing.
