  1. Epic world record for Laura Gomez of Colombia, going from 3:53 to 42,5 seconds
  2. Surely Madrazo had some sort of technical issue..
  3. And interestingly enough, when I went to his Instagram and saw that last picture, I immediately recognized Brazil's rollerski circuit bibs and, indeed, Brazilian federation CBDN is apparently organizing this
  4. Awesome, the famous Rio Olympics Thai weightlifting fan is here too
  5. It's so incredibly annoying that, after a CJ attempt, the graphics don't show the total weight. That would make it so much easier to just see how the competition is going, which is not unimportant in a competition..
  6. Mery Kayrouz of Lebanon is back You know, one of the two Lebanese women who was a teeny tiny bit behind in the 5k qualifying race at last season's world champs (15 minutes). https://sciclubaltavaltellina.it/fis-2017-tcm-e-odp-sprint/ Click on the 'OdP sprint' file for today's sprint start list. Also, Manikala Rai of Nepal will be there, and a Lebanese guy.
  7. Oh two mass starts on one day, that's new And yeah, but I figured news about debuting or returning nations would fit in a thread about debuting or returning nations as well so this was the first place I looked
  8. Pita Taufatofua, you know, Tonga's greased up, flag-bearing taekwondoka turned cross-country skier, turned up at rollerski competitions in Bogota yesterday.....and got 298 FIS points https://data.fis-ski.com/dynamic/results.html?sector=CC&raceid=31551 Two more races to go there.
  9. Nice bit about Argentina's main luge hope https://fastandcoolsports.blogspot.nl/2017/11/my-path-to-pyeongchang-1-veronica.html?spref=fb
  10. That's exactly when I stopped watching as well, but luckily all the rest was on YouTube with spoiler-free titles, so I've been watching it there throughout the day and just now finished the CJ of the 3rd competition That's gonna be my strategy for the rest of the tournament.
  11. Apparently you didn't watch either the women's 48kg or the men's 62kg, they were definitely a lot more interesting than the men's 56kg
  12. Italian coach Mauro Maugeri has died, aged 58. He took over as coach of the Dutch women's team after they won Olympic gold in 2008 and well, that didn't exactly work out very good. https://www.wpdworld.com/news/morto-mauro-maugeri/
  13. Still better than those semi-neutral white suits with a nearly invisibly green/yellow hint somewhere. At the very least green and yellow could be much more prominent, that's what makes people think "hey, it's Brazil", a white suit doesn't have that effect at all unless you specifically know it.
  14. Well it's not new that they start in Israel, that has been known for quite a while already There is an Israel Cycling Team in the ProConti level, so there's...something
  15. Interesting to see the name of Turkmenistan's athlete in 48kg changed from Dzhumabayeva during the snatch (and in the start book) to Jumabayeva in the clean & jerk
  16. Exactly, I'm not going to see biathlon specifically, I'm going to see my friends, and that's a little hard if they compete in the IBU Cup and I'm going to a World Cup competition They can put Davidova over to the World Cup team after Obertilliach
  17. Don't, I want to see Davidova in action in the IBU Cup next month
  18. Stage 1: And that, right there, is why Israel is now mad as fuck In their minds, it should be just called 'Jerusalem' (even though apparently the international community doesn't really accept it like that, since the East is apparently one of the many occupied Palestine areas), and because the Giro organizers named it as 'West Jerusalem' (which they did to stay away from political stuff) the Israeli government is now threatening to withdraw all support In the Netherlands, we would call this 'Calimero-behaviour', after a popular children's series. I just saw it is a Japanese/Italian series originally, so maybe you know it
  19. This level is not so high
  20. They should add some simple graphics on screen, like who is next and with which weight.
  21. Chaos about papers and weights and who's turn it is and everything, gotta love when it's 2017 and they're still only just thinking about maybe possibly in the future using some technology for this
  22. This works for me, not for all countries I guess, but who knows https://www.teamusa.org/USA-Weightlifting/live
  23. Live scoreboard: http://www.iwf.net/scoreboard/scoreboard3.php We should be getting underway soon. If anyone finds a live stream, feel free to post it
  24. Today's top course times: Found Herrmann:
  25. There's only one real Gabi in the world of biathlon and she competes in the IBU Cup for now.
