  1. Probably just a case of bad wax, happens to everyone sometimes
  2. Holy Mother of Mary, what a dominance
  3. Wrong. Actually I'm sad we won't see Tretiakov and Nikitina anymore, but even so it apparently is entirely impossible to say even one word different than "it's a conspiracy, OMG!!" and not be called an 'anti-Russia' something, or a Russiaphobe, or whatever. No, it's not a conspiracy. No, I'm not against Russia. Yes, there actually are Russian athletes I like, I don't care so much about nationalities, no idea why others do. And yes, sadly I 'thank' the Russian government and sports federations (those that are actually responsible, because come on, let's not be the conspiracy nuts who say WADA is responsible) for being cheating idiots who screwed up the life of their athletes with a system of systematic doping, which is bad for their health, their reputation and their chances to compete.
  4. This is getting funny. Almost as funny as Vitaly Mutko
  5. 8 Swedish women in the top-19
  6. Waxman is gonna get yelled at I think
  7. Haga and both Weng's out as well, just Harsem and Svendsen are in for Norway...what on earth did they put under their ski's, gravel?
  8. Sprint 1 of the season and Bjoergen, Falla and Oestberg all miss out on qualifying
  9. I know one definitely is and one definitely is not (he grew up in Germany if I'm not mistaken).
  10. The 80's were liked today
  11. Not very impressive, Nadine..
  12. Time for the women's race We might possibly see someone lead from start to finish, since in-form Denise Herrmann is the first to get going and I really don't see anyone who could match her ski speed today, so with good shooting she's my favourite.
  13. Good riddance
  14. Final standings:
  15. Over 70 men have passed the second shooting, and still nobody shot 0+0. There have been a few who shot 0 in prone, but they then missed at least one in standing.
  16. Visibility clear
  17. This does not look promising. It should clear up somewhat during the day, which is why Bruna was put in the last starting group in the women's race, but still..
  18. If Oeystein's there, I would say that's pretty realistic
  19. Like this?
  20. Too bad their daughter isn't
  21. I also just noticed 52-year old Uiloq Slettemark is there again as well
  22. Yeah...if I was the person responsible, I wouldn't come near her, because she ain't happy about that She tried to let IBU keep it at the name she had in previous seasons (without 'de'), but somehow that didn't work out, annoyingly Jill Colebourn of Australia would participate too, but sadly she has gotten ill and can't compete tomorrow. Hopefully she'll be there in the other sprint in Sjusjoen, she's now part of the same 'team' as the Brazilians (with the Brazilian/Australian cooperation) and from what I've heard she's a nice person, so I'm rooting for her as well starting this season
  23. That's rather unfair to say about someone who, when not even near his current capabilities, beat Dukurs in the longest track of all in St Moritz. Nikitina is an athlete who wins purely based on her start and then having a decent run, Yun fights for gold with a good start (not even that much better than Dukurs) and very capable sliding. Also, this really seems more like a Skeleton Discussion Thread kind of discussion
  24. Start lists for tomorrow are out: Women https://ibu.blob.core.windows.net/docs/1718/BT/SIBU/CP01/SWSP/BT_C51A_1.0.pdf Go #47 and #72 Men https://ibu.blob.core.windows.net/docs/1718/BT/SIBU/CP01/SMSP/BT_C51A_1.0.pdf
  25. Ah, yeah. I hope they just leave those two medals vacant and be done with it.
