  1. Nope, I forgot to put that in my schedule Alright, way too early alarms, here we come, starting tomorrow.
  2. Looks like D Fischnaller made a big mistake somewhere between splits 2 and 3
  3. I know, but I was 11 at that time, not following anything else than speed skating
  4. I must admit I only remembered because at first he made me think of none less than Hitler, which made me remember that he is Austrian, so I googled for Austrian skeleton athletes (I knew he is an ex-athlete)

  6. Germans haven't found their mojo yet, Langenhan and Loch both over 6 tenths behind Kindl.
  7. So far only those reported on Twitter, but I'm hoping someone will take a photo of a printed result or something (and eventually it'll be on speedskatingresults I suppose)
  8. It's Aleksandar Milenkovic, I guess he's there as their coach (I've seen his name appear many times in the past months, and now it suddenly makes sense after you asked this and I noticed the Chilean logo ).
  9. I think I see France in the top right corner, and Jamaica under that? Austria on the left, and Greece on top there. Finland is afraid of heights, interesting for a ski jumping nation (or so it was).
  10. Noel dotting the i's before the Olympics..
  11. Oh, Sven Kramer had a world record (low altitude) in the 3000m earlier this week in Gangneung, and Bergsma was rather fast as well considering 3k is rather short for him. Bloemen was less impressive.
  12. Verweij - 36.00 Lorentzen - 34.94 (fastest man) Yamanaka - 34.95 (but hit a cone, so would be disqualified in a normal race) Das - 38.8
  13. Wow, 37.05 for Nao Kodaira in today's test race, new world record for low altitude
  14. To pay next season's biathlon trip Oh well, at that odds I'd have put 250 euro on it if they let me, 501 for a former World Cup champion who has had a million more runs down this track than anyone else...that's ridiculous. I still think Germans and Canadians are the favourites, but no way Won has only like 0,2% chance to win the gold
  15. I know it doesn't mean anything, but it's results, meaning we're really close now and I'm getting excited And about the home advantage: a bookmaker gave odds of 501 for Won to win...managed to get €50 on that, so yeah, I'm cheering for Won (in 2-man)
  16. Today's first training session: http://ibsf.sportresult.com/ResultListBackUp/192779.pdf Lamin Deen and Loic Costerg with the fastest times, interesting. Won Yunjong had a DNF in run 1, that's not good.
  17. Results of today's first women's training runs. http://ibsf.sportresult.com/ResultListBackUp/192780.pdf Lölling only 10th and 11th, Flock and Yarnold had a good day. Still, it all doesn't mean so much yet.
  18. That's not even a bad day for Freitag, that's an awful day. Oh well, it's still early on, let's hope he'll find his mojo back before the competition starts. The more contenders the better.
  19. Michel Macedo has had a fall in downhill training and will miss the speed events
  20. Edson Bindilatti (bobsleigh), great choice
  21. No matter the side you're on, this Russian journalist has a healthy sense of humour
