  1. Because I hadn't seen it Just to clarify: I'm not complaining or saying "hey we have to change that now", most certainly not for this contest of course. Just wondering what the reason is and if it can't be improved for later prediction contests if there's enough support for such a thing.
  2. @Sindo Give us more emotions please.
  3. Who really cares about modern pentathlon apart from some rare die hard fans? Or artistic swimming? Or rhythmic gymnastics? Even during the Olympics they're not shown on TV here, not even when they show an overview of the day's events. Air rifle shooting makes it on TV just because it's usually the very first event, I wonder if it actually has some real popularity somewhere outside of major sports fans.
  4. Only a little over three years to go and they still didn't finish the venue you should finish first in order to highly increase your chance for medals?
  5. I've started with the South Korean Netflix Original Kingdom, about zombies It's actually pretty cool
  6. First Bulgarian top-6 since Petar Popangelov (who had 11 podiums) in the mid-80's
  7. Any clue yet about the results website that will be used?
  8. For now, UAE has filed a protest against two of their players (the Iraqi guy who kicked out Iraq and the 8-goal topscorer who also scored against UAE in the semi's) for not being eligible to play..
  9. It's a shame really, January is barely even over and the athlete I'd obviously support most has already ended her season. Oh well, I'm gonna watch the events anyway
  10. The answer to the question "Will Brazil compete in the Winter Universiade 2019?" has been changing a bit over the past half year. In the summer it was definitely, 'yes', which changed to 'no' because of financial problems. That became 'yes' and 'no', followed by a 'maybe' and now it's final: no.
  11. Finally some positive news about the dude mostly known for being a criminal
  12. I still just don't get this. Why 4 points for predicting the right gold medal winner, but 2 points for predicting the right bronze medal winner. Both are equal kind of predictions (predict athlete/nation X in position X) and quite often the silver or bronze medal winners are even significantly harder to predict than the gold medal winners, so you get less points for a harder prediction
  13. [hide] Knockout Round January 20th - February 1st, 2019 16 Nations, Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Final Final Date & Time (GMT+4) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 February 1st 2019, h. 18:00 Japan 0 3 Qatar [/hide]
  14. On the bright side, that opens up some good betting opportunities
  15. On a Dutch forum that's used by sort of a very, very right wing incel kind of person, please don't Let people use no avatar if they want to use no avatar
  16. To be fair, if you're a small nation and you somewhat have the financial resources to at least make this trip, you'd be utterly stupid not to. It is the chance to score some good points
  17. I'm already positively surprised she's still here after Pyeongchang
  18. They absolutely need to be given more chances, yes.
  19. A bit much to actually disqualify someone from a race for that in my opinion. Should and easily could have been dealth with by a good fine.
  20. Sloof missed a season due to, surprise, mono. She was in rather good shape in Arber though, there's hope.
  21. It's such a shame that athletes quit who had biathlon simply as a hobby and even so managed to win junior/youth world championship medals. Imagine if they had it as career dream..
  22. Chardine Sloof, double junior world champion, should have a bit more results too then It's not an absolute marker of success, but obviously it's better to show talent than not show talent
  23. The hype is real.
  24. Wow Sweden was poor, 16th.
