Wtf
Only 2 tickets for European countries in the women's football tournament?
With 6 of the top 8 teams in the current World Ranking and at least 3 of them missing the Games, the women's Olympic football tournament can not be taken seriously.
Not that I disagree but it's the same as in Tokyo (as france gets the host quota)

Well. Ended out just following the people around me. Meant that I wouldn't be going for negative splits but a more even pace.
Felt a bit hot during the first half hour or so, but luckily I started out with a bottle that I could just throw away at the first water depot.
After the 18 km mark it felt like a bit too much. I walked for 100m or so twice. And yet I managed to go below the 2 hour mark!

Denmark's not on the top 50? Oh well, I guess we'll have to do with the world's 2 best restaurants

Canada wants to decriminalise the possession of cocaine? They actually claim cocaine being illegal is bad for people's mental health?
Works pretty well in Portugal, I believe!

because communists are not human? atleast they dont follow usa like dogs
Sure they are, but only Chinese propaganda would make a thing out of a few houndred communists protesting.
If every protest at that size should get attention, I guess those journalists would be damn busy! -

It appears the next step for USA is allowing 13 year olds to carry weapons into school at this rate. GOP won't do anything about it and Democrats are too scared to strike down the 2nd Amendment so nothing will change anytime soon
Democrats aren't really too scared to do anything about the 2nd Amendment.
But they can't do anything without a filibuster reform. That's where the problem is. Until then, Mitch McConnell will happily let all ideas die before reaching the senate floor. And sadly the more conservative democrats, especially Joe Manchin aren't ready to do anything about the filibuster.

Mito Pereira who's basically done nothing except being in the OG bronze medal playoffs last year leads the PGA Championship by three shots after three rounds. This will either be the biggest golfing upset in XXI century or another of these epic meltdowns in the final round
I would say that 2003 had some much larger upsets with Ben Curtis and Shaun Micheel
Pereira is in the top 100 and had a very fine 2021 season, dominating the Korn Ferry Tour and joining the PGA Tour with 3 top 10 results.
No doubt that it will be his best result by far, but he is a strong player. -

Last Sunday finished my 3rd Wings For Life World Run in Ljubljana with a PB - 21.79 km. 🤗😆
Really wanted to participate in the local edition but sadly had other plans. No chance that I could beat my distance from 2020, but it could have been decent

Completed my second 5k. 33:38.
I knew there was a lot of time left in the bag, as the last time I only aimed for a completion, but still I am pretty pleased with the time.
This is all on treadmill though. I have zero clue on how it translates outside. It will be a steep learning curve.
Personally I'm much better outside. It's much easier for me to motivate me for the extra bit.
Personally I got to 18 km saturday making me feel sure that I can do the half marathon in just below 4 weeks as long as I stay healthy.
I'll do one more long run, a couple of mid-distance and a bunch of 5km-runs to get ready.

General rule of thumb: the more the text writers for the hosts keep jokes out of it, the better it is. Not a single host is really capable of delivering those cringy jokes. It does not exactly help if the camera direction is so bad that the huge autocue screens with the host's text are visible, like yesterday
But then again... Is it really Eurovision without cringy jokes?

Time for a terrifying stage for the sprinters. It will be difficult for them from the start to the finish!

Is there a place online where the full voting breakdown can be seen?
They are unusually slow at putting out the official results!

I didn't feel the song but yet somehow it feels like the best Ukrainian winner
