  1. well, despite that, Loch has done well on Lake Placid's track more than once... but today he made a capital mistake in the first run and wasn't perfect even in the second run, so he did climb some positions, but not as many as he already did in the past... however, yes...LP and Sigulda are the 2 worst tracks for them...because start times are normally not so important (there are quite a few tricky sections that are definitely more important than the starting phase) and also because those are the 2 tracks where they can't train at all during the year... if only it was possible to find a non-German FIL president who cuts the number of races and training weeks in Germany...
  2. you could see the climbing time running on the graphics while watching the live pictures (and you can still see it if you watch the replay of the event on Youtube, obviously)... those times are not registered anywhere on the competition rankings (even if thay are the tie-breaking criteria between all the climbers who reached the same hold, in this case the 4 girls who ended with 31+)...
  3. Women's Olympic Qualification Tournament, Final Ranking Gold: Futaba Ito, 28 pts Silver: Julia Chanourdie, 30 pts Bronze: Mia Krampl, 49 pts (Olympic Quota) 4. Lucka Rakovec, 54 pts 5. Ai Mori, 64 pts 6. Iuliia Kaplina, 64 pts 7. Kyra Condie, 72 pts 8. Laura Rogora, 100 pts
  4. Women's Final, Lead Result 1. Mia Krampl 2. Julia Chanourdie 3. Lucka Rakovec 4. Ai Mori 5. Laura Rogora 6. Kyra Condie 7. Futaba Ito 8. Iuliia Kaplina
  5. and Ito completes her climb with a score of only 24+, which means that Mia Krampl wins the Lead section and with an epic comeback earns the 2nd Slovenian Olympic spot for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games... however, Ito wins the OQT... sincerely, I can feel the pain in Rakovec's heart...
  6. and this climb by Chanourdie has completely turned things around in the Slovenian battle for the Olympic spot!!! now she's between Krampl (who's leading the Lead section with 32 holds) and Rakovec (3rd with 31+) by virtue of climbing time of all the girls stuck at 31+...Chanourdie, in fact, did it in 3.03 mins, meanwhile Rakovec in 4.16... with only Futaba Ito still left to go, the only hope for Rakovec is the Japanese to overtake Krampl... drama, big drama in Toulouse! tbh, it's unfair that someone who doesn't have any interest in a competition ends up deciding the future of 2 different athletes...it should be a direct match-up, not a strange combination of other people's scores...
  7. and good comeback up to bronze for D-Fisch... no Germans in the top 8...

  10. desperate situation for Krampl after 2 events... basically she must win the Lead section and hope that Rakovec ends up at least 2 positions behind her... meanwhile if Krampl finishes 2nd in the Lead section, Rakovec could afford to end up as low as 5th in the last climb...

  14. no, it's a G1 Individual Tournament for Olympic classes only... Taekwondo calendar is simply a mess...they have too many people to make happy to be serious... by the way, here you have Day #1 Medallists (senior Olympic classes only): https://www.worldtaekwondoeurope.org/files/Results_-_G1_Olympic_-_29_NOV_2019.pdf and here you have Day #2 Medallists (senior Olympic classes only): https://worldtaekwondoeurope.org/files/Results_-_G1_Olympic_-_30_NOV_2019.pdf
  15. South Korea really dominated this stage with 6 Gold Medals, followed by a bunch of Nations with 1 Gold Medal each ( Canada, China, Italy, Hungary, Netherlands)... Japan, Russia and USA also won at least 1 medal (but no gold), meanwhile Kazakhstan were close, really close to join the medal table, but unfortunately they were overtaken by Russia in the last turn of the men's Relay and so they had to be happy with a bitter 4th place...

  20. Men's Final, Lead Result 1. Adam Ondra 2. Kokoro Fujii 3. Alberto Ginès Lòpez 4. Nathaniel Coleman 5. Jan Hojer 6. Pan Yufei 7. Meichi Narasaki 8. Bassa Mawem
  21. and Narasaki falls well earlier than needed! only 26+ and bronze medal for him! so, Kokoro Fujii wins this Olympic Qualification Tournament ahead of Adam Ondra and his teammate...
  22. brave effort by Bassa Mawem in the Lead climb... he'll end up 8th, but at least he gave it a decent try... Kokoro Fujii now leading with only his teammate Meichi Narasaki left... Narasaki only need a 5th place (28 holds) in the Lead climb to secure the win here in Toulouse...
  23. no, not at all...it's just a dessert at the end of dinner, it's not to fill myself as a turkey...
  24. Men's Final, Ranking after 2/3 Events 1. Meichi Narasaki, 4 pts 2. Bassa Mawem, 8 pts 3. Kokoro Fujii, 10 pts 4. Pan Yufei, 12 pts 5. Jan Hojer, 14 pts 6. Adam Ondra, 24 pts 7. Alberto Ginès Lòpez, 35 pts 8. Nathaniel Coleman, 36 pts
