  3. yeah, in Baseball it happens more often than not... it's the nature of the game...if you get a pitcher who's not in his best shape, the game easily gets broken (and most of the times, boring)... but this Cuban team is really breakin' my heart...
  4. I'm really asking myself what's going on in the IOC and Paris Organizing Committee's minds? I thought Tokyo 2020 was easily getting the title of "worst Olympics ever", but I see that Paris is fighting hard to win that already 5 years before their Games...
  5. poor Cuba! it's so sad to see them playing this bad... 6-0 after 5 innings for the Koreans...it would take more than a miracle for the Caribbeans to comeback from this... the Australians right now are ready to take some champagne off the fridge...
  6. Canada is mathematically out... qualify only by winning against Korea, otherwise Australia advance to the Super-Round... p.s. and if this happens, Mexico have the biggest chance to grab the American Olympic Quota, as they have won the direct match-up against their at-that-point only rivals from the USA...
  7. in Italy, YT have a very random availability (and it's very limited when it comes to on-demand, there are a lot more games available if you watch them live)... Gametime instead works for every match (live and on-demand)... the problem, as I wrote in the past days, is that YT has a very useful app on basically every smart TV/connected device, meanwhile Gametime has no app at all...and not even full chromecast support (you have to rely on awful mirroring)...moreover, for the on-demand stuff, they have a mega-spoiler already in the title of any file... unfortunately, my subscription to the Japanese IPTV expired last week (not gonna pay another 30$ for 1 more month only for those few Premier 12 games)... I also found out some interesting sat tv feeds, but they are @ 55.5° West, which is impossible to reach for me (there's another palace beside the one where I live, stopping my west view at 30° (and my dish is too small, in any case)...
  8. easy task for Japan against Chinese Taipei...8-1 the final score in their favour... a lot closer and more interesting, intead, the late game played in Seoul, where South Korea won 3-1 against Canada and basically earned their spot in the Super-Rouind (provided they're not thrashed out by the Cubans tomorrow and at the same time Canada give Australia a lesson)... so far, we know already 4 of the 6 teams going to play the Super-Round: Mexico, USA (with MEX carrying the win against the US guys over from the preliminary round), Japan and Chinese Taipei (with today's Japanese win against TPE also counting in the SR ranking)... if tomorrow in group C everything goes according to plan, South Korea and Canada also qualify for the SR, which would lead to a direct match-up between KOR and TPE for the Asian Olympic Quota and to an interesting battle between MEX, CAN and USA for the American Olympic Quota...
  9. Alice Robinson has to miss the next world cup stage (knee)... https://asia.eurosport.com/alpine-skiing/killington-vt/2019-2020/alpine-skiing-alice-robinson-to-miss-killington-with-bone-bruising_sto7527865/story.shtml
  10. definitely not the mighty Cubans we used to see anymore... however, most likely this result won't change Cuba's destiny in any case, as I don't see them beating this Korean team in Seoul tomorrow...
  11. you, misbeliever! in the Netherlands, they are live from 10 a.m. to noon on all 3 days...Friday's finals on Eurosport 1 and Saturday + Sunday's finals on Eurosport 2... p.s. and this week they are going to show the evening session of the Track Cycling World Cup on all 3 days (Friday + Saturday on Eurosport 1 and Sunday on Eurosport 2)... https://www.eurosport.nl/tvschedule.shtml
  12. yes, the top 2 in each group will advance to the 4-team round robin main group... then, the top 2 of the final round go to the Olympics...
  13. Nearly 70 Countries will Show the World SAMBO Championships Live on TV The World SAMBO Championships in Korea will be shown live on TV in 68 countries of Europe, Asia and Africa. At the same time, in some states, 2-3 television channels will broadcast the tournament. And thanks to the cooperation of FIAS with international news agencies, video broadcasting will also be transmitted online to the countries of North America and South America. And, as always, the World Championships broadcast will be available to Internet users around the world thanks to the live broadcast on the FIAS website. A significant contribution to the expansion of the television coverage of SAMBO throughout the world was made in 2019 by the conclusion of a partnership agreement between the International SAMBO Federation and Eurosport, the number one television channel for sports enthusiasts in Europe. Thanks to this, the multimillion international audience of the TV channel, which includes both experienced SAMBO fans and those who are practically unfamiliar with this sport, as, for example, Vatican residents, was able to learn more about SAMBO. It is also important to note that compared to previous years, this time the World Championships will be shown live not only in Europe and Asia, but also in Africa - a continent with an ever-growing interest to SAMBO. Schedule online broadcast of the World SAMBO Championships on the FIAS website * Friday November 8th h.10:00 - Preliminary bouts Women: 48, 60, 72 kg; Men: 52, 68, 90 kg; Combat SAMBO: 57, 74, 100 kg h.18.00 - Final fights & Award ceremony Saturday, November 9th h.10:00 - Preliminary bouts Women: 52, 64, 80 kg; Men: 57, 74, 100 kg; Combat SAMBO: 62, 82, +100 kg h.18.00 - Final fights & Award ceremony Sunday, November 10th h.10:00 - Preliminary bouts Women: 56, 68, +80 kg; Men: 62, 82, +100 kg; Combat SAMBO: 52, 68, 90 kg h.18.00 - Final fights & Award ceremony * The schedule is based on Korean time zone

  16. Paralympic Champion Martina Caironi tested positive for Clostebol (Steroid)
  17. it took 7 innings, but finally Chinese Taipei scored the go-ahead run against Venezuela, followed by the second and later in the 9th by a 3rd run... so, they won 3-0 and did qualify for the main round together with Japan, who won 4-0 against Puertorico (all of the Japanese runs were scored in the 3rd inning)... VEN and PUR will play tomorrow not to end up dead last in group B, meanwhile JPN and TPE will play a very important game, as the final score is going to be carried over in the Super-Round... in Seoul, instead, after Canada's win over Cuba, the Host Nation didn't have any problem in their debut against Australia...5-0 for the Koreans the final score... Tomorrow, Cuba and Australia will fight against each other to keep their hopes to fly to the Super-Round alive, meanwhile South Korea and Canada will play a game which most likely is going to determine the group winners and to be carried over in the next round...
  18. no, the strike is still on... I only posted a short news/comment because today the games were in a favourable time of the day and I could watch them live... but I won't call a single word of that post back...
  19. p.s. those who have the Youtube streams geo-blocked, can always try to watch the full games on this website... https://www.gametime.sport/event/180 unfortunately, for those watching on-demand, the title of each video is a mega-spoiler itself... of course, those who watch the games live, don't have any problem of that kind...
  20. what's new? Venezuelans are well known to be big time chokers and a repeated waste of talent... I've always been asking myself why a NT with their talent never won anything...and I'm pretty sure it's not because they don't care...I know they are very proud "nationalists" and they care a lot of their Country and Countrymen... by the way, finally Japan won 8-4, meanwhile in the other match of the day in group B, Chinese Taipei proved too good for the already really disppointing team from Puertorico (they just can't hit...and their pitchers are not even close to major league level...2 runs scored and 15 given up in 3 games -the 2 warm-up meets vs KOR and today's outing in TPE- in the last 5 days): 6-1 the final score in favour of the Asians... given Japan the edge over their rivals, tomorrow's clash between Chinese Taipei and Venezuela could prove already decisive for the qualification to the main round from group B (and surely means a lot also in terms of both the Asian and Panamerican Olympic qualification race)...
  21. and when it really matters, we have Katrina-alike wind... Ruka (and in some degrees also Lahti) are the least reliable NC/SJ hills in the world...you can count the "clean" competitions held in those places in the last 20 years with your fingers...
  22. ops...you're right...I messed up the lines with scoring and somehow read as if the full qualification round was already completed...
  23. women's 10m Air Rifle Team event... Gold for South Korea (1891.7 pts), Silver for India (1883.2 pts) and Bronze once again for Iran (1877.6 pts)...
