  1. I don't think he'll be caught...but tomorrow is likely his last day on the tour...
  2. oh, yes...at that moment I didn't realize that Spain already had 2 more men among the qualified fighters... however, I hope also Kanaet makes it from the OQR...the less risks we take, the better it is... however, I'm really impressed with Dell'Aquila's performance in this weekend...I didn't really expect him to beat with such margin (well beyond the final score) someone like Jang Jun... I'd be really happy if in Tokyo we have a gold medal match between him and Hadipour (with Vito winning, of course )...
  3. only if Jang Jun wins the Grand Slam ranking, but CHN should still have a theoretical chance to grab that spot and leave Wolley out...
  4. yeah, I remember my first speedskating races...those 2 unbelievable clashes over 5 and 10 kms between Thomas S. Gustafsson and Igor Malkov at the Sarajevo Olympics... 5k 10k
  5. I know you're obsessed with outdoor venues (and I admit you have a good reason), but also these new indoor venues can be state-of-the-art and a beautiful "landscape"... I like this one in Nur-Sultan...the only problem to me is the lack of audience and "pathos" (as if it was nothing )...
  6. it's a pity that's so dead an empty (at least, yesterday...I didn't watch today's session yet)... it's such a wonderful venue... if only Kazakhs speedskating fans were so many and so passionate as Thialf's...
  7. I agree...it's really a nonsense to have different rules for the same event in different competitions... but ISU wants it and we can only take it as it is, like it or not...
  8. Stage #4 (Shanghai, CHN) women's 3000m Relay teams qualified to the A Final South Korea United States Canada Netherlands men's 5000m Relay teams qualified to the A Final South Korea Hungary Russia Netherlands
  9. the rule is different from time to time...at the Olympics and at the world champs, medals are awarded through the B final (if needed), meanwhile at the world cup events the B final exists only to give WC points away, but no medal is awarded outside the A final (also because in the relays, the A final and the prize ceremony are held way before the B finals, which are placed at the end of the TV session)...
  10. it was just a consideration about an obvious situation... I think you (most of the Americans, I mean...not you, personally) are really obsessed with this racial things...saying that someone who has black skin actually has black skin is not racism... it's the opposite of Italy, where we actually have a true racism problem and we do everything to hide it below the carpet...

  13. yeeessssss!!!! Vito Dell'Aquila won for the first time in his career against Jang Jun (despite a clear attempt of robbery by the ref -penalizing Dell'Aquila for going out of the mat when it was a clear push by the Korean- and the judges -gifting the Korean of at least 5 punches that shouldn't have been awarded) and got his first Gold in the Grand Prix series... now he can be considered a true medal contender for next year's Olympics...
  14. and this is a great result also for Italy, as Simone Alessio will have 1 (likely 2) tough opponents less to face in the final European OQT next year in Milan...
  15. obviously...before Rio, the max was 2 per gender... if you didn't get the triple in Rio, it was impossible by rule to do it before...

  19. I just can't believe it!!! Ledecka did it again! this woman is really unpredictable (in alpine skiing...in snowboard it's a different thing)... p.s poor Corinne...
  20. now we can really say that...Lie (after dominating the trainings) was the last real threat...
  21. I agree...the main problem is that normally EP isn't the only OTT service subscription... I usually have to add NHL.tv, MLB.tv, NFL GamePass, ESPN Player, Amazon Prime, Express VPN... and I have not active atm, iSakuraPro (Japanese IPTV), DAZN and Netflix... moreover, not going to mention the satellite tv subscriptions (sky Italia -basic + sport package- and Skylink Czech/Slovakia -Kombi pack)... I know I'm not mentally healthy and this thing is going beyond any reasonable behaviour...but still, that's my standard lineup...
