  1. Ladies had one final statement towards their non Olympic inclusion. This time all had drawn moustaches or beards.
  2. Our girls have to fight for quarterfinals, this has to be their main goal, and then, who knows.
  3. Does anybody know, what were times of Russians and Belarussians in their own Championships, which were held simultaneous?
  4. Interesting enough, Timi was involved in an affair, where previous coach had to leave team during Ski Flying WCH 2020 in Planica, two years and two months later he saves home Nordic Worlds. So, let us play with maths. For Lovro Kos not competing I added points from Domen Prevc. 1042.6 Tschofenig 261.6 Hayboeck 253.0 Hoerl 257.1 Kraft 270.9 1032.0 Forfang 263.3 Sundal 249.8 Lindvik 249.7 Granerud 269.2 1058.9 Stoch 272.1 Zyla 266.0 Zniszczol 244.6 Kubacki 276.2 1049.2 Kos 246.8 Jelar 251.8 Zajc 287.5 Lanišek 263.1 1051.7 Eisenbichler 271.4 Schmid 250.0 Wellinger 261.4 Geiger 268.9 To sum up: 1. 1058.9 2. +7.2 3. +9.7 4. +16.3 5. +26.9 It is going to be intense battle.
  5. Nice performance for our team in their first ever Relay. They beat 4 teams. Today only 46 athletes on start of 30 km for ladies, don't know, what is Linn Svahn doing there. For us only Neža Žerjav will perform. Petra Majdič was 5th in Sapporo 2007, which is by far unreachable. Nataša Lačen was 17th in 2003, Lampič came 21st in last Worlds. For Neža top 30 result would be quite nice.
  6. It is good Zajc and Domen Prevc are on such level not everything is on Lanišek. Main threat should come from Poles and Austrians, but at least 10-15 jumpers could win today. Hope conditions will be fair.
  7. Today 15 teams in Men's Relay, one more as in Seefeld 2019, top 12 would be quite good for our team. If you ask FIS, we already had a relay in 1999 and 2001, have we, @hckošice
  8. So far all according to plan, Tina Šutej and Neja Filipič without any troubles in final. So, tonight Maruša Mišmaš Zrimšek as first of our 4 finalists, if counting Horvat also in final.
  9. It looks like on results site nobody wanted to write criteria, now there are. For example in women's high jump they had to jump 194 cm or being in top 8, ofcourse 191 was enough. Anyway, well done Anita Horvat (in 800 semis) and Maruša Mišmaš Zrimšek (in 3000 final), nice battle from our other 800 female runners Sadek and Smonkar, not surprising exit from Vukovič (800 m men) and Luxa (Triple Jump men). I was at least expected Apostolovski to jump over 187, but this season she is not so good. So, nice and well expected outcome for our team on Day 1.
  10. I think this is first time, we do not have qualifying criteria in field events. 17 athletes compete in women's high jump and there is no height set to jump, top 8 advance to finals. The same in men's triple jump. Meanwhile only 23 athletes compete in ladies 3000 m with 15 progressing to finals, they should easily cancel first round, final is tomorrow.
  11. I am still with Winter Champs, so will start to listen next week.
  12. In the end, as expected, aside from Sweden falling a bit more behind. Nice run from our team, this is what we have without Lampič, Višnar and Fabjan.
  13. Next up Women Relay. Germany and USA could threaten Scandinavians, after quite good performances Italy could be a surprise. Slovenia will compete for the first time in this order. (Eva Urevc, Anita Klemenčič, Anja Mandeljc, Neža Žerjav) We should cope with Latvia and Kazakhstan, maybe even Czechs. Top 8 would be a dream, top 10 has to be main goal. Our girls were 9th in 2019, with 17 teams. Best result came in 2011, when they finished 7th. 13 teams on start is the smallest number since 2003 (12 teams).
  14. So, Peter Prevc is in good health after nasty fall, but probably his Worlds has gone, really sad. Today Qualification on Large Hill with Domen Prevc, Jelar, Zajc and Lanišek.
  15. Yes, another dissapointment, Klinec and Križnar could end up mich higher with better first jump, Vtič as expected. Nika Prevc jumped very bad both days, so she was not last because of brother's fall.
  16. Ok, this is a bit surprising, so sprint is coming in final lap. Meanwhile, our guys can not follow even Ukraine.
  17. So, no surprise on top. Meanwhile, Miha Šimenc surprised with 38th place, which is best ever Slovenian result in an interval start race.
  18. So, today another big day, Nika Križnar and Ema Klinec in fight for a medal, Nika Prevc and Maja Vtič will be probably be satisfied with final or maybe top 20. Today also took place first Official Training for Men. Peter Prevc fell badly in second jump. Meanwhile all others are jumping extremely well, so another hard job for our coach, who has to select four jumpers for tomorrows qualification.
  19. No high expectations today. Šimenc and Vili Črv are more like sprinters, possibly Miha Ličef could end up best as in Skiathlon, Jošt Mulej will compete first time. 50th place from Robert Kerštajn in 1995 is still best 10 / 15 km interval race result, so this should be main goal for our young squad. For the medals no secrets, heia Norge all the way.
  20. Nothing special, our commentators want to hype, how thrilling will be on ski course. Yeah right. Norway already got gold, only question is, who will get silver, Germany or Austria. As for our young team, 7th place was possible on ski jump, but jumps were shorter than in trial round. Even with 7th, USA and Italy, and possibly Czechs are too fast on course, so main goal remains complete ahead of Ukraine, and not getting lapped.
  21. Back to competitions. Sadly our young team was not capable of beating anybody in mixed team event. Today primary goal is certainly not being last and maybe not being lapped, we have very young guns, today Marjan Jelenko and Vid Vrhovnik are guests in our studio, with them 8th place would be possible, 8th is best place in history for our Team, if I recall, from 2011.
  22. As some of you already know, on Sunday I went to Planica. I am regular guest of Ski Flying for 25 years, so though I heard, how high they put prices and there is not a lot of home crowd, I decided to visit our treasure in heart of national park. Luckily I am quite frequent Totallympian, and with that I had an honour to meet in person our star, future Olympian. I know I have already thank you, but once more, @brunamoura, thanks for those five minutes of your time and of course, though I would come to see competitions anyway, thank you for tickets. Only thing I regret is we did not have time for a bit longer talk, because your story is fascinating, but did not wanna bother your pre race time. So, @heywoodu, take good care of her, when she comes back home, and when you are next time around (maybe both), do send me a PM, and maybe will grab a coffee.
  23. Believe it or not, this will be only third race (out of 14), with no medal for Norway (after ladies CC Sprint and Men's SJ Normal Hill).
  24. No Bruna for us, on Eurosport International they are still showing Ski Slopestyle from Bakuriani.
