As some of you already know, on Sunday I went to Planica. I am regular guest of Ski Flying for 25 years, so though I heard, how high they put prices and there is not a lot of home crowd, I decided to visit our treasure in heart of national park. Luckily I am quite frequent Totallympian, and with that I had an honour to meet in person our star, future Olympian. I know I have already thank you, but once more, @brunamoura, thanks for those five minutes of your time and of course, though I would come to see competitions anyway, thank you for tickets. Only thing I regret is we did not have time for a bit longer talk, because your story is fascinating, but did not wanna bother your pre race time. So, @heywoodu, take good care of her, when she comes back home, and when you are next time around (maybe both), do send me a PM, and maybe will grab a coffee.

Believe it or not, this will be only third race (out of 14), with no medal for Norway (after ladies CC Sprint and Men's SJ Normal Hill).

No Bruna for us, on Eurosport International they are still showing Ski Slopestyle from Bakuriani.

Thank you, it was cold and long wait, but at last it was worth it.

She became famous, so glad I met her, though only for a couple of minutes. Today will be looking, how good Jaque and Bruna will run, but of course I wish this could also be a good day for our CC skiers. Eva Urevc is aiming for at least top 20, though I am hoping for even better, only Petra Majdič came in top 10 on an interval race (once she was 7th), so this would be huge, if Eva could bring us top 10 result. I am not sure how well prepared she is. Anja Mandeljc needs to attack top 30, if not better, for other two (Neža Žerjav and Anita Klemenčič) my expectations are not so high.

As usual in this hour, wind is too strong in Planica, so no Trial round for Ladies.

And then you should wonder, why no one really cares for Nordic Combined here. Our national TV interrupted program 7 jumps to go, just to find out there is fog on Crans Montana ladies downhill course. Do they continue with Combined, surely not, they cut to commercials and some music. Thanks for having Eurosport. 😄

OK, enough fooling around, it is time to win a medal: - ladies Team at least Bronze - Lanišek and Zajc go for Gold - tomorrow Mixed event, and another big chance In this two days Championship could be saved for us.

Yes, it is quite weird, how fast she transformed from sprinter into distance runner.

Only two Slovenian athletes completed Skiathlon since its inception. 33. Vasja Rupnik - 2003 38. Matej Soklič - 2001 Rok Tršan and Nejc Brodar had DNFs.

Very nice race, definitely worthy Olympic inclusion. Too bad for Ema Volavšek, she could not manage top 10.

Great jumping part from our girls, top 6 is quite possible for Ema, which would be great after her back problems, that is why she has troubles this season. 15 year old Teja Pavec also very well, though I know she will lose some time on course.

Who would have thought that maybe first top 10 or even top 6 finish for home team would come in Nordic Combined. At least so I hope, Ema Volavšek needs a top 10 jump and then good ski wax.

OK, but at least now you have some kind of team, I remember years ago, only Kinga Rajda occasionaly showed herself.

And interesting, 62 jumpers will compete in qualification, which is only 5 jumpers more than with women.
