  1. Victory for Bots/Plume! Considering how many athletes get unjustly hyped on this forum, it's kind of sad that B/P have been barely a footnote thus far.
  2. Ugh, I am getting so tired of Tim Singer not understanding how luge works and creating conspiracies about track slowing down instead.
  3. First three episodes are really fun, but then it dissolves into typical MCU formula.
  4. Don't think anybody said it here, but it has been confirmed, athletes testing positive will be excluded from the competition. It will be so 'fun'.
  5. 100,00% They accepted every single quota for Pyeongchang 2018.
  6. Meanwhile in Bosnia and Herzegovina, not a single vaccination has been administered as of yet. Apparently the first 2000 doses arrived, but were held at customs for 5 (!) days.
  7. Martin: "Lyubov Chernykh's first heat was a shocker!". John: "Yeah. More hits than Elvis."
  8. Just a reminder that luge is coming to St. Moritz this weekend. It is not to be missed.
  9. I have no idea how influential delfilietuva Instagram polls are, but come on Totallympians, help this cause!
  10. Really interesting to see how pop culture suddenly started portraying conspiracy theories so differently. Go back 20 or 30 years, and you'll stumble onto films like The Terminator 2, The Twelve Monkeys, JFK... The list goes on. All of them indulge into this idea that there is a wider truth that select few are determined to hide at all costs. And the main hero is there to uncover it and win the audience over. Can you just imagine Hollywood making movies like these again?
  11. It's not like China is good at any of those, so there was no point in adding anything. Italy is probably gunning only for the natural track luge.
  12. Any rumor as to when we might expect some sort of tentative schedule?
  13. Agreed. Plus, replacing European Championships with European Games would likely mean reduced participation in all sports with various qualification systems in place. I don't think anyone really wants that. Sure, using qualification systems works for the Pan American Games, but that's because the depth of nations there is so much shallower.
  14. Kentucky Three-Day Event - "The Best Weekend All Year" - cancelled for the second year running.
  15. They are buidling a solid team for the Olympics. Mixed relay qualfication (via 2+2 individuals) is more than just possible.
  16. Following the maiden Europa Cup slalom victory on her 17th birthday, Zrinka Ljutić took another victory today, this time in giant slalom. Let's go.
  17. ESP player is indeed the best bet. Back in Rio I had to rely on BBC coverage via paid VPN. It worked out fine, but there was a lot of British hype of course.
  18. According to this, it is almost certain that South Korea will withdraw from dressage. With Hwang Young-shik no longer aiming for Tokyo and Rio 2016 Olympian Kim Dong-seon retiring from sport last year, South Korea is left with a couple of amateurs with no realistic hopes of achieving MER. There is still some time left, though. If Korea withdraws, Malaysia would receive a reallocation. It seems like Qabil Ambak is feeling pretty confident about this, as his horse Delatio got transferred back to Malaysia just before the horse nationality cut-off date on January 15th. Ambak himself has not competed the horse for over a year now.
  19. Can't tell what he is up to, but the MER period ends June 20th (pandemic permitting).
  20. Small update on Usman Khan... Following the departure of Azad Kashmir, Usman Khan is now working with a new horse Kasheer. Not a bad horse (previously named Riverbreeze and campaigned by Andrew Cooper), but they are up against it. Last month they successfully obtained MER at CCI2*-L level. They still need to obtain it at 4 more levels (CCI3*-S, CCI3*-L, CCI4*-S, CCI4*-L). Literally no mistakes allowed. They just can't afford it. https://www.sbs.com.au/language/english/audio/australia-s-border-bans-have-pakistan-equestrian-jumping-obstacles-for-historic-olympic-berth?fbclid=IwAR0G3eIvpGiySW9vGJzDxEJj5lXh11Nw_Dos9ipxMja8Lk16jjIB6wzq2Pg
  21. How dare you say that about Kate Hansen?
  22. But also pretty non-surprising (if not expected). Germany is very beatable in relays these days. It also happened at Konigssee WC (to Russia).
