  1. YAY CLIMBING at the olympics. I'm the only one it's happy
  2. ¿What I just said about Spain and bad luck at table tennis? If they get to 3rd round: Galia vs #1, Yanfei vs #2, Zhiwen vs #2.
  3. Almost worst case scenario for our girl Yanfei. Our girls always so bad luck in table tennis, never forget how they get China in first round in the team event in London-
  4. Acording to our national TVE, who just did a coverage of the olympic village, spanish team are in blocks 26 and 27. And they're just in front of the building of Ukraine and Armenia.
  5. Spanish Team Captain Conchita Martínez just confirmed Nadal's gonna play the three tournaments: singles, doubles (with Lopez) and mixed (Muguruza).
  6. Yes, his going to play with Marc Lopez men's doubles and it's expected to play mixed with Garbiñe Muguruza.
  7. I think that's what's gonna happend. Anyway, Pablo Carreño is waiting at home in case he needs to fly to compite in singles.
  8. I'm obviously sad for the poor french girl, it's never pleasant when someone has to pull out due to an injury...
  9. So that means spaniar Galia Dvorak in? She was first in line...
  10. Lidia Valentin on her way to an olimpic gold, wow. She was 4th in London.
  11. So the only boat they're able to keep is the one when Spain is teh next on the line. So bad luck Italy should share some
  12. So Morozov was among the team that qualifiyed the men's 4x100 free rellay to Rio. Shouldn't the relay be disqualifiyed as well?
  13. ¿In basketball? We only have Serge Ibaka. ¿In football? No one. ¿Handball? No one actually. ¿Tennis? No one, Garbiñe Muguruza has had double nacionality since she was born. That's all lies. The fact that we have a lot of inmigration and that for any latin-american person is really easy to apply for nacionality since the law said that they had to demostrate 3 years of residence in Spain to get able to get it (Just as Orlando and so many other cuban-origin athlete's had done) When you change nacionality you have to had a three year hiatus since you represent your country last time. That's why Orlando couldn't compite in Europeans or in Beijing last year.
  14. Well, first of all, I really want to know what do you mean about "like they always do", cause looking at our athletics team I don't see that much of naturalized athletes. And yeah, Spain has nothing to do with Ortega's developning. But since he has leave the country he was born due to all the problems everyone knows that are in Cuba and being banned by their federation, I think it's only far from any athlete to give them the chance to represent and compite free in international competitions if they country wouldn't alow them over stupid and controling rules. So yes, we migth not own part of the achievement's Orlando can give us in the future but he really deserved them. He could chose to compite for country because he had offers about compiting for countrys who would paid him really well and he decided to compete for the country where he has being living since 2013, when he quit the cuban delegation.
  15. Maybe is not decided yet. Spain has selected four men in 3000 Step, and the three olympians are going to be decided acording the results of national championships next week.
  16. I think Iñaki Gomez has basque heritage. Gonna be rooting for him too.
  17. Javier Gomez Noya had a fall yerserday during cycling training. He had broke his arm and he's going to miss olympics. He was a top contender for gold. I'm so sad, cause those were probably his last olympics.
  18. Tobias Giehl has the standar?? Didn't spect realocation at 400 hurdlers. Also, I was wishing for you to not select 1500 girls cause our runner is on the verge for a quota
  19. Well, Ilias Fifa's history is far to be close to other transfer athletes. He is a former inmigrant who put his live in danger to try to reach Spain at the age of 16 travelling in the unders of a truck to pass the border. And after living almost six years as an undocumented he reached spanish nationality. So, for me, he's a "real european". Spain as a country has a lot of inmigration, and we are clearly a multicultural country, and our athletics selection is full of moroccoan (and cuban) born athletes that reach the country usually with their families looking for a decent life, like Adel Mechaal tomorrow in 5000, moroccoan born living in Spain since he's 3 years old. I'm just saying this, because some country's masive athlete's purchases is making all countrys with african-origin athletes make guilty, and that's far from beeing true. I just think that putting all athletes in the same box is not fair. Not for the sport, the countrys or the fans. With this level of globalitation Europe is having those days I think it's imposible to see again a "real european" athletics events, and the fastest we admit that the best is going to do for the sport. But this "athlete buying" thing is going out of hands and both IAAF and EAA should have done something by now because they're killing the sport. The kenyan dudes that win gold and silver for Turkey in men's 10,000 just said that they have no idea of speaking Turkish and they have suposely being living there for several years now. I just remenber the case of Yunier Perez, a cuban sprinter living on Spain, whose manager trick him to get a turkish nacionality he didn't want without even living in the country.
  20. I though so. I'd guess that her PB in High Jump (1,79) was maybe not high enough and could not work well with the actual process of clasification, but I don't see the problem in Triple or LJ since it has no effect in the qualification.
  21. Pol Moya - Men's 800 (Invitation) There will not be a woman andorran athlete in Rio since the IAAF haven't accepted the petition of Clàudia Guri on high, triple or long jump. Sincerely, I don't get why, becouse they accepted her on long jump in the 2015 worlds in Beijing... http://www.andorradifusio.ad/Esports/claudia-guri-no-passa-el-tall-i-es-queda-sense-invitacio-per-a-rio
  22. And his chance to reach the olympic standar. So sad
  23. Women's 200 m Estela García - 23.17 I think we don't have a 100/200 women's sprinter at the games since maybe Atlanta'96, so props to her.
  24. 100 men Bruno Hortelano > 10.06 NR
  25. I hope Spain can get any one more...
