Thanks. This information is useful although they have missed out the women's 71kg category unfortunately.

Especially if it ever wants to get back. I'm gonna keep hoping the only shooting event I really like gets back on the program some day..

Nickyc707 got a reaction from amen09 in Your Top 3 Favourite National Anthems
doesn't have an official anthem nor does it have an NOC. The closest thing to an anthem is probably "Jerusalem" which is a call for social justice and doesn't glorify anything apart perhaps from the English countryside.

no, because I’m checking every country, and it takes time because I forgot some rowing quotas

Nickyc707 got a reaction from vlad in [POLL] How do You Prefer the Olympic Medal Table Sorted by?
If we have to place a value on such things then nine golds have to be rated more highly than ten bronzes, so it has to be by gold medals. If not, I'd look at a points based table which has been mooted in various fora in the past.

Always by gold medals. Every medal counts, but in the end the gold is what it's really all about.

" Europe - 8 highest places with a maximum of one (1) quota place per NOC
Should the athlete who obtained one (1) of the quota places through the Continental Championships has already qualified via the 2019 UIPM World Cup Final or the 2019 UIPM World Championships, the quota place will be allocated to the next highest placed athlete, not yet qualified, at the respective Continental Championship. Yes they will. Team GB will be able to select players from all four constituent parts of the UK if they wish. There will almost certainly be some Scottish players in the team.

Big thanks to hckosice and Gianlu33 for keeping us up to date with all the results during the past ten days.
Despite the worries beforehand these Games seem to have reached the Brazilian people in a way the Olympics didn't and it was wonderful to see the way they revelled in the performances of not only their own athletes but those of the other competing nations. It is only when you watch the Paralympics that you realise just how many remarkable people there are across the world fighting to overcome huge barriers in their lives and achieving things that even many able-bodied people can only dream of.
From a national point of view a great games for GB with 147 medals and 64 gold medals. The best since 1988 - 183 medals and 65 golds - when the programme was 40% bigger!
Always sad when a multi-event games ends not least because it invariably sees the retirement of great athletes who we'll never get to see in action again. But sport goes on and new heroes emerge. Anyway can't wait for the next one!

Perhaps if you weren't so obviously ignorant you would have been aware that Armistead and Ohurougo were taken to task in both the written and broadcast media for their missed tests. Not sure why you think athletes like Farah or Froome should be attacked though.
Of course, you don't want to discuss it! As the Donald Trump of this site you prefer to make outrageous and unsubstantiated attacks and then start to flail about when anyone stands up to you and exposes the patent nonsense which you propound.

So if you were being slandered or libelled you wouldn'the defend yourself? If as you imply it is somehow down to doping how do you think they get away with it given the regularity with which they are tested - and the big stars get tested even more regularly. Even if you somehow believe that the UK anti-Doping authority are in league with British Cycling, if there was anything untoward the British press would be all over it. Their priority has always been selling papers and they don't care who they upset in pursuit of a story.
Because of the way UK Sport funds the Olympic sports in GB the OG's are the only thing that counts in maintaining that support. WC performances and medals only matter in so far as they contribute to winning Olympic medals. You may not like that focus but that is how the system works and it delivers success at the OG's albeit it sometimes comes at the expense of performances in other competitions.
Of course, it may just be down to the "magical wheels" alluded to by the French in 2012. At least they did until it was pointed out they were produced by the same French manufacturer that they themselves use.
