Hopefully we can qualify in taekwondo, right now it's our least likely sport to qualify to the Olympics (minus handball)

So she is qualified for sure?
I'm no expert, but unless the Ukraine athlete is missing a result it looks like Egypt qualified
-
Found it, she got 80 points for her performance at the 2015 African Track Championships, which I assume is an event which gives Olympics points since other nations got points for their 2015 continental champs
-
Flipping backwards she had 80 points before the 2016 African Champs. Going backwards she had those 80 points since before the Feb 23 2015 update and the website won't let me go back anymore.

Wait, so Egypt is qualified in women's sprint? That's a surprise.
It's weird though, she's listed with 200 points, but looking into the profile it only lists the African Championship in which she only got 120 points. Also if you add Ukraine's points she should have 179 points
-
You are correct the UCI has not added the sprint of keirin points for either men or women.
As for Great Britain. Despite qualifying 16 athletes they will only send 15. Likely one of their women will compete in both the sprint and keirin.
-
Rankings have been posted. It looks like Egypt qualified over Ukraine in women's sprint.

The drug was only placed on the watch list in 2015 and she’s been taking the drug for over a decade for a condition which she has. Did she or her coach know it could enhance her performance? We may never know, but I feel it was more of an added benefit than the primary reason as to why she took it. Regardless she should be punished now that it is a banned substance. Just like in law you can’t claim ignorance and hope to get out of it.

I think results should be posted, but not as a mandatory thing. So basically they're posted because people want to, not because the admins have to.

Do you know when the first tripartitie quota will be awarded?
There's no specific date, but the first ones will probably be awarded in April.
As for shooting the tripartite is quite simple. Right now there are 20 tripartite nations with MQS fighting for 24 spots. The main question is whether or not the nation applied for one.

Chad should have a chance in men's marathon. Their runner, Ahmat Abdou-Daoud, had 2:19:34 last year. Needs only to find 34 seconds.
Thanks, IAAF doesn't post "almost qualified" times for marathons anymore so it is hard to find them.
-
I guess it depends on your definition of sport. Is poker or chess a sport? Does a sport need to be physical to be considered a sport? What about shooting? There isn't much of an argument that you could make for shooting that doesn't apply to the others listed above.
-
It doesn't help that they give continental and host quotas to an 8 entrant event.
-
Belarus also qualified a duet according to FINA.

and this was bad tournament for USA.
Yes, they only qualified three athletes at the world champs and only qualified a total of four here. In fact Canada and Venezuela currently have as many total qualified wrestlers as the United States
-
Strong day for Venezuela. Cuba is now qualified in 5/6 greco-roman events

How big is the chance for the German men to qualify at the final tournament?
While the progression of Germany's team has been good they will probably miss the tournament. Canada and Samoa will be the big favourites with the European teams, Hong Kong, Tonga and Zimbabwe providing good competition.

Wasn't it suppose to be four?
-
Shouldn't Canada have qualified in the women's Omnium?
-
Colombia can send two athletes if they want
-
Overall this has been a poor showing for the America continent, especially in the men events. Only Venezuela qualified in a men's team event while Canada and United States only qualified in the women's team events. Colombia was entirely shut out as all of the nations have to rely on individual quotas in order to have a decent size team.

So the Dutch athletes in the women's keirin and/or sprint will automatically come from the couple that is chosen for the team sprint? Supposing of course one of them won't do the omnium, because there's Kirsten Wild for that
Pretty much. The Netherlands has qualified three female quotas in track cycling. They could add a fourth athlete by adding someone from a different cycling discipline to the track team.

How does this work for the Olympics?
We have 3 good sprinters/keirin riders/team sprinters:
- Shanne Braspennincx (recovering)
- Laurine van Riessen
- Elis LigtleeWe qualified in the team sprint, does that mean theoretically all 3 could go to the Olympics? For example Van Riessen/Ligtlee in the team sprint and sprint and Ligtlee/Braspennincx in the keirin?
No, Netherlands have been given two athlete quotas in team sprint. The only way for all three to participate is by having one of them compete in the Omnium.

Big chance for Honduras to qualify in the women's +67kg.
Hopefully Canada can qualify today (the draws in general are pretty good)
