  1. British trials yesterday. Main track finals start at about 6 hours in.
  2. Not too worried; lots of British sports now know to use Y1 of the cycle as a low intensity year, at least for the veterans.
  3. Dodgy Ukrainian link here, but it's pretty complete.
  4. team https://www.britishathletics.org.uk/news-and-features/novuna-gb-ni-team-announced-for-the-u20-european-athletics-championships-in-finland/
  5. Couple more national champs. I'm just doing the FTA easily accessible ones. Panhellenic
  6. Hmm, that is interesting. Obviously a lot of lekking* going on. * Oh yes, there is such a word. Lek mating - Wikipedia
  7. You can't get away with jogging the last 20m at the US Nationals.
  8. Nope, completely disagree. Semenya made a joke of the event by obviously shirking for 700m then coming through to win. And also by refusing to attempt any kind of record. As we see all the time, any kind of well-organized WR attempt drags a whole pile of other athletes through to NRs, PBs etc as well as creating media attention and hype. No sympathy - the money's in the bank, and that's what was wanted.
  9. Records set tumbling yesterday right in the Beer Mile World Championships from Lisbon, . Sadly, they make the classic error of putting the result of one of the races right slap bang on the entry link, so we will start with the Ladies and you will have to find your own way to the Gentlemen's race.
  10. Some of us got purged from a board for pretty much the same thing. Said board has not remotely recovered yet.
  11. Or pretending to. There's still some people out there pushing the line that Semenya was some kind of pitiful waif, rather than accomplished con artist.
  12. Confusion over the dates on my part, because they actually started today. The German Athletics Nationals are on eurovisionsport, com, along with several other sports. Like Sweden, they try to make a bit of a big week of it because several other sports are included, like fencing, badminton, rowing, and even rugby siebens. . Also breaking, sadly. Eurovision Sport | Die Finals 2025 - Dresden
  13. is PPV, will cost $12.99 to watch internationally or on NBC domestically. USATF.TV Will post others as I get them, or otherwise please post your own.
  14. National Championships Weekend coming up! has one of the strongest lineups for many years, but is restricted to the BBC which is usually tough for furriners to get into. UK Athletics Championships: British stars target World Championships spot on BBC - BBC Sport
  15. All of a sudden a large comfy blanket of common sense is suddenly descending upon the world of sport. World Athletics introduces one-time genetic test for athletes wanting to compete in female category for world ranking competitions - BBC Sport
  16. OK, so kind of the like the FISU games then, which pretty much represented the third string of our emerging talent.
  17. Ok, BBC have an updated story this morning but it is still useless. This does seem to be the very latest though - there's no chance of a helicopter getting to her and the only way is to send up a team of experienced mountaineers. That does not sound good at all. Laura Dahlmeier: Climbers attempt rescue of injured Olympian in Pakistan | Olympics News | Al Jazeera
  18. BBC seem more optimistic. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/articles/c4g627p4q0ko
  19. Bad news for fans of Team - neither UEFA nor CONCACAF are willing to accept them as members. For those new to the domestic league, looks like they use the system where teams are known after map references rather than towns. Frozen out: Greenland kicks off football's shortest season after international setback
  20. And a debut win for Oliver Knight on the Second Stage of the Tour de Wallonie yesterday!
  21. Pretty impressive considering that at the FISU Games yesterday we also did the Double Eights and the Women's Four! Strength in depth for sure.
  22. And van Aert gaps Pogačar! And that is it, Pogačar gives up the chase.
