    Well, for me these were bummer Olympics (for a lot of reason, including the lack of NHLers) but I have to say that both the men's gold and bronze medal games did manage to put a big smile on my face.

    is *finally* ahead of in the all time ice hockey medal table.

    Also huge congrats to for winning a silver medal in their first ever Olympic tournament!

    ! A couple good things came out of this NHLer-free tournament after all. Five of the so-called big six hockey nations have now won Olympic gold ( ). is the only one that hasn't yet won it (though of course , Unified Team and OAR have won it).

    Is the "I can't believe it's not Russia" team going to have a last second miracle like OAR did four years ago?

    Apparently Kripps is the first Canadian pilot to medal in both two and four man.

    Peacock was truly the only to watch these Olympics in the US.

    Well there was some excitement in the end.

    The biggest drama during this race was Johaug trying and failing to wave the flag.

    Unless there ends up being an interesting fight for bronze this will go down as the most boring event of the games

    Come on now, we all know Russia hasn’t won any Olympic medals since 2016 :P

    Kripps pulls off a miracle and overcomes the superior German sleds to win a bronze. This is one of those bronze medals I’m very happy about - tbh even without the equipment advantage beating Lochner was just not going to happen.

    Friederich is denying Lochner gold medals like it's his hobby. Puzzling strategy call for not to give Hafer the best push team, it would have easily secured a podium sweep.

    It feels like a genuine miracle that Germany didn’t sweep the podium.

    They should have shortened this to like 10k because the race has been over since then.

    I mean that’s true in all parallel / cross formats. You can theoretically win a gold medal in snowboardcross without starting any of the rounds as long as you won qualifying and everyone else DNSs too.
