  1. Draw 11 Results 8 - 5 12 - 8 6 - 5 10 - 3
  2. HUGE victory for Team Homan as they defeat Switzerland 8-5, to improve to 6-0! Prior to this, Silvana Tirinzoni had won 42 consecutive games at the World Championships.
  3. And just like that Silvana Tirinzoni’s streak of 42 consecutive World Championships wins comes to end today.
  4. FOUR FOR CANADA!! lead 8-4 after seven ends.
  5. A miss by Alina Patz on her first in the 7th end, and a chance to lie 4 for Canada.
  6. 6-4 up on after six ends
  7. May want to check the previous page
  8. Not unless you want to pay for Recast credits.
  9. You do make a good first point, but I don’t think it’s a similar case for Canada. Murray and Wiggins aren’t just any NBA players, but decent ones at that. They’re also proven national team players, Wiggins was Canada’s best player at the Tokyo Olympic Qualification Tournament. Wiggins and Murray are good enough that they can make a huge difference in a game. As mentioned, I wouldn’t be surprised if Canada misses out on the quarterfinals entirely, but saying that Canada winning a medal would be a “big surprise” makes me laugh. Their expectations are much higher than that.
  10. Double angle raise for Homan to score two! What a shot!
  11. Draw 10 Results 10 - 4 7 - 4 11 - 3 6 - 3
  12. @intoronto don’t feed the troll.
  13. I wouldn’t disagree with you that Canada could miss out on the quarterfinals, but only because we have a tough draw. I don’t think I’m overrating them in the slightest, we won bronze at last years FIBA World Cup while missing key NBA players like Andrew Wiggins, and Jamal Murray. I can guarantee you that if they had been placed in OQT Puerto Rico’s group Canada probably survived as one of the top third place finishers at worst. South Sudan is by far the weakest team in the tournament, they wouldn’t have qualified if there wasn’t an African quota. Third place finisher in that group has a very high chance to progress to the quarterfinals, assuming they can demolish South Sudan or at least by a reasonable margin. @nenad what are your thoughts on the draw? I’m curious
  14. I don’t exactly know, but they’ve been regressing ever since Beijing. Maybe @Rafa Maciel can provide some reasoning? While I am surprised by their record, and especially their loss to New Zealand, it was fairly predictable that they would be near the middle or at the bottom.
  15. Turkey almost did, so who knows If anyone, it’ll probably be Team Homan though. Ridiculous record on the season of 53-5 (including the five games played here) I think they even have a better record than Team Tirinzoni this season.
  16. So do I. South Sudan is the weakest team in the draw, and it’ll probably stay that way when the OQTs are finished. Lithuania, Italy, and Puerto Rico are good teams but none of them are as good as Canada, or even Greece/Slovenia (the most likely Olympic qualifiers from that group)
  17. Olympic Games Draw Group A Winner of OQT Spain Australia Canada Winner of OQT Greece Group B Germany Winner of OQT Latvia France Japan Group C United States Serbia Winner of OQT Puerto Rico South Sudan
  18. Olympic Games Draw Group A China Spain Serbia Puerto Rico Group B Australia Canada France Nigeria Group C United States Belgium Japan Germany
  19. Olympic draw is now Well at least after Tony Estanguet finishes his speech…
  20. Draw 9 Results 9 - 6 9 - 3 7 - 8
  21. Defending Olympic Champion Yui Ohashi will not be defending her women’s 400m individual medley title (mind you it was always a tough task with McIntosh)
  22. Standings After Day 3 Team Tirinzoni (5-0) Team Homan (4-0) Team Constantini (4-0) Team Dupont (4-1) Team Gim (3-1) Team Peterson (2-3, 1-0) Team Rørvik (2-3, 1-1) Team Hasselborg (2-3, 0-1) Team Turmann (1-4, 1-0) Team Yıldız (1-4, 1-0) Team Ueno (1-4, 1-1) Team Smith (1-4, 1-2) Team Morrison (1-4, 0-1)
  23. Draw 8 Results 8 - 1 10 - 3 11 - 5 9 - 10 led 5-2 after five ends, and 9-7 after nine ends, but unfortunately couldn’t produce the victory
